I just got a Ducati 748s!

I am so fired up, I want to tell anyone who'll listen that I just got a yellow Ducati 748s. Termignoni carbon exhaust, bunch of carbon bits and pieces, magnesium wheels, etc. When I test rode the bike and got a chance to open up the throttle, the bike asked me "How do you like me now?" I patted her on the tank and said, "You had me at 'Hello'."

I hate you.

Not really. Post some pics!!! Preferably at 1024x768 or higher resolution. Maybe 1280x1024?

Excellent choice! I knew you couldn't resist! Once you go "quack", you never go back! Just try to keep the shiny side up on this one.

That's a nice Monster you got there, mister. If I had more sense, I would have looked at those instead, as this 748 is pretty uncomfortable when tooling around town. But when I "assume the position" and get tucked in, with that mellodious cacauphony of whirlybits churning between my legs, I'm in Nirvana. I love the v-twin roar, the rattling dry clutch plates, the Hand of God Brembos, the green tach, how my chest rests against the tank, etc. I hopped on my BMW to ride home from the dealer, and while it's a cool and funky bike, I felt like an old man on a Gold Wing. Only problem with the Duc is that I have to find a place to mount the biggest stick I've ever had to carry, to fight off the hoardes of admiring women.

Viva Ducati, Viva Ducati, Gooooooooaaaaaaaallllll!!!!!

P.S. Eric, I only dropped the BMW twice. Those cylinder heads work as auxiliary side stands .

P.P.S. I just realized I now have a vehicle from each of the last 5 decades. Daaaamn.

Nader,

I've got a 97 748 with the old style graphics...

There is no other bike like it... Think on it, a V-Twin that rev's to 11,000 RPM! Sweeet sounds of Desmo!

i have an sp1 which i bought 3-4 months ago. i always fancied a twin - and i'm not dissappointed!!

i commute everyday so the sp1 makes sense, otherwise i'd find a way to have a duke - mind you not the new shape pile of crap, that is one ugly m'fker!!!

My first Duc was the one that got me started on this whole sportycar business in the first place... THe slipperly slope!

If this pic shows up properly, you'll see my new baby parked next to the intrepid Airhead. The best pic I could snap in a hurry, so that I'd have an updated screensaver. My yellow fleet.

The Duc is the kind of bike with which I can sit in the garage with a glass of wine and a cigarette, and just stare at her. It's all I can do in this $hitty weather, this godforsaken northwestern rainforest. Anyone who actually likes this rain is either: kidding themselves; a fatass shut-in; or just retarded. I'd leave if I could, but I digress.

Daamn, this bike is beautiful. It's the moto incarnation of my trophy girlfriend. It's a tasty McGriddle in the mornin'. It's my cigarette after sex. It's the swift, terrible sword that cuts through the crap of my day.

Very nice, just make sure you don't kill yourself on it (I'm starting to sound like ya mother).
