Wow, just when you think he has got to realize how dumb he sounds and he will give up or delete the thread, he suprises you with an even dumber more immature statement. I have this vision of a line of horney soccer moms in mini vans following a wanna be Magnum PI look a like, mustache and all, in his old Ferrari.

I'll bet the same amount jryerson's never even seen a GT-R in real life, let alone driven one. In the US the GT-R is even more rare than the F50 let alone some commoner 3xx variant.

So the saga continues- did jryerson buy his neon lights and stickers for his Ritmo? Did Pepboys give you your employee discount?

Read through the last couple pages since I posted. Cant seem to develop any sense of respect for you.

You have the typical ricer mentality as far as I can see. Your name might say GTR but your attitude says CRX. Only a baffoon would refer to a Ferrari - any Ferrari - as a Fiat. Much like the pimple faced 16 year old with his hat on sideways at the intersection in his Civic - 747 wing and fart can in tow - youve got something to prove. May be small penis syndrome, may be small wallet syndrome, may be just about anything. Do your best to get over it - once you stop spending your time trying to best everyone else you come into contact with, life becomes infinately more enjoyable.

See what you can do with all that disposable income if you get to live rent free in Robin Master's Hawaiin estate? Own every Fazz.

But the rest of us are working stiffs. We have to chat our women up, just like every one else.

What do you do with the discards? Perhaps you can help we less fortunate Pelicans out?

That's okay, we can disagree. There's no law against that.

Agreed.

Some times you get dirty when you roll with the pigs. I know I haven't presented myself well at times, especially late in this thread.

Perhaps.

And the way I've conducted myself here in the last few posts could possibly reflect that attitude as well.

Perhaps I do have something to prove to some degree.

Then again, maybe I just have a lot of time to kill since it's still winter where I'm at and a good smack talking session is fun every now and then and every other true car enthusiast I know hates hearing about how all conquering one particular car is from some ignorant "fan." It could be "tall poppy syndrome" for egocentrics.

I agree. I think the 930 Porsches are great cars. I think most Ferraris are wonderful cars. I never said otherwise. From my first post here I've had no problem with the cars at all... It's too bad jryerson can't admit he's wrong.

Whats wrong Hanny Baby get no play in your water pumpers?

FYI Soccer moms don't typically like Ferrari drivers, it's more of the opportunistic types in Euro cars that like Ferraris.

emwporsche 03-03-2004 09:41 PM

GTR just stop posting.
You have 18 posts, jryerson has over 500.
Sorry but he has seniority and he will be here long after you've been forgotten.

And I think what jryerson might be trying to say is that, he would prefer adult car enthusiests (and women as a bonus!) to admire his car and taste, rather than a 16 year old boy who saw a skyline in a tuner mag, and drives his mom's civic like it was an f1 car.

The simple fact that you do not believe he has a Ferrari is quite a compliment to him. Just as I (19 years old) am not believed when I own a Porsche turbo.

BTW- I didn't realize I was a pig in a pen

98ss 03-03-2004 10:39 PM

GTRPower I feel your frustration. Just when you think you have Dr. Evil cornered (jryerson), all of a sudden Mini Me shows up (emwporsche).

I would even bother replying to the 19 year old. He still needs a few years to see whats outside of his room.

When the hell did a member's post number indicate their knowledge? That is a stupid statement. I have 1000+ posts here. In your view, does that make my opinion superior to yours?

I think for the most part, jryerson has come across as an arrogant prick in this post, and got the ribbing he deserved. Anyone who calls a car like a Skyline GTR a ricer is simply ignorant, and backing up his opinion with multiple refrences to the fact that he owns a Ferrari and gets lots of women (therefore his opinion is more valid... ) is simply childish.

I agree with Nabeel. emw, from 1 19 year old to another, you made a very stupid statement. Seniority doesn't mean *****. Everyone knows who the asswipe is in this thread, and it isn't the guy with the Nissan.

emwporsche 03-04-2004 12:04 AM

The point of the statement was:
He will be here, contributing to the pelican boards long after gtr is gone.

I personally have respect for the skyline, not my cup of tea though.

But I will not retract any statement. Nothing I said was wrong. GTR is only fueling the flames, because jryerson has been here a long time and probabley will stay a whole lot longer than GTR.

Whether or not his contribution is constructive or not is irrelivent, or else we wouldn't keep Tabs around!

GTR was very nice in the beginning, even to the point of modest. But:
"Some times you get dirty when you roll with the pigs."
didn't particularly go well with me. And I find it rather funny that no one comments on this or any other of the several rude statements.

Ah yes pull out the age factor. (what no race card?)
This is the exact reason I stay away from the PCA Porsche meets.

Read my post again, no name calling, no saying one is right or wrong (a skyline isn't rice, but you can certainly make it rice. Just like any car.) A clarification isn't taking sides, I understand what both sides are saying.

BTW- I have short mans syndrome. I will always defend a person getting singled out. Right or wrong.

But you can disregaurd all my statements, I'm only 19.

skyracer 03-04-2004 01:50 AM

Rice racers

Rice racers... Now thats funny!!! :D :D :D

I wont pretend to know a great deal about porkers, I dont own one nor does anyone in my family.

Being a Skyline owner I do know that its a serious wagon, and in all honesty it does/can waste most other cars on the road, even my relatively humble R33 GTS will embarrass some seriously expensive so called go-fast cars, even many a porker!!!

Whats best about it, is the look on their face, cause even in the UK a lot of people have no idea what the car is or what the Skyline family of cars can do.

So to all you rice racer haters……..

Yawn you really boring me now, wish you’d learn alittle more about how serious the Skyline mark is.
;)

MFAFF 03-04-2004 03:16 AM

This truely is a great pi##ing contest.

Just what the forums are for......

Its great to see jryerson defend his Ferrari so adamantly in spite of everything that's been thrown at it.

But in amongst all the words is the truth.

The Ferrari can be more fun to drive, its not necessarily as fast or as capable but on the right day and the right road it will be more fun, as will the GTR when its in its element.
After all who would want to experience an open Ferrari down a sun kissed cliff top road accompanied by a beautiful woman....

Or going max attack around the old N'Ring in a high tech, all whistles and bells going, supercar, faster than the early F1 cars ever could achieve on the same road.

Neither are the last word in performance or beauty but they are great cars capable of bring a huge grin to the face of the driver.

There isn't one that is better than the other, 'cos few are the people to whom both appeal sufficiently to use that sort of cash on....

Let it lie..................

smarjoram 03-04-2004 04:13 AM

Quite right.

I didn't buy my car because it was the most powerful thing I could buy - I bought it for these reasons...

It's a classic car that has been made for 40 years
Porsches motorsport heritage
It's beautifully engineered - with details usually only seen on race cars
Simple enough to work on yourself
Reliable
I dreamed of having one all my life
No depreciation
It's a very raw driving experience - no power steering etc
it makes a fantastic noise
The engines in a funny place - which makes it a fun car to drive - and the traction is fantastic when you put your foot down
It looks different - I think it's got some of the most beautiful curves ever seen on a car

There are some others but they're not printable and any psychologists on this board might send the men in white coats 'round.

I like lots of cars, Skylines included, but they don't tug at my heart in the same way as Porsches (and old Ferraris for that matter).

edit: I forgot to add - at £280 the insurance is less than my MkII Golf.

Deeks 03-04-2004 04:24 AM

hahaha... this thread's looking more and more like the 944 forum everytime I look at it !:D

Sorry, you're in for a big surprise when you try to sell your car....

smarjoram 03-04-2004 06:59 AM

You reckon?

I paid £6500 for it. You can't buy a decent 911 for that anywhere now. Every garage I've taken it to says it's worth at least £8-9k.

I bought it in Germany just before the Euro came in, the exchange rate was good and 80's models weren't that popular then. It's a 204hp model with chain tensioner upgrade, 3 previous owners, turbo valve covers, smooth gear change, 94,000 miles, tasteful black half leather interior, CD, absolutely no oil leaks and original paint (admittedly with a few stone chips). I practically stole it : )

jryerson 03-04-2004 07:14 AM

What WMWPORSCHE was referring to was not that I have 500 posts so I am senior is that GTRicer and the other ricer fans are nothing but Trolls as they have nothing of value to add to this site other than stirring up crap about their supposedly superior 270hp car. I have given advice and tips freely on the Porsche
forum since 1999 when I had my SC and will continue so, he has nothing to offer here other than his chest thumping about his little car with stickers all over it he put on for free and will be gone, back to the depressed little world he came from looking to prove something to all the exotic car drivers on the road.
