Just illustrating that performance is far from being my only criterion (if it was I wouldn't have a 911, I could find something with "better performance" for cheaper). I actually sometimes feel that this view makes me <i>less</i> of an enthusiast, because most of the people I know who are very knowledgeable about cars and driving (some of whom get paid to race) don't care whether their car is made in Germany, Japan, or Timbuktu for that matter. They don't care what manufacturer puts its badge on the back. All they see is performance per dollar, and what can get them around the track the quickest. I'm not like that. I like European cars, and I like certain marques more than others. But I realize that to these people, I'm the silly one.
I’ve owned well over 35 autos in my life and have had to opportunity to drive a lot more, I personally don’t care where the car actually comes from nor do I really care how many people agree with me. . .

To each his own . . . . . Jap/Germ/US "It's all good"......

the question is.. how many of those bleach-blonde, plastic booby women can you get without the car and the money? try picking them up with just your personality. good luck! or is it just the car and money they are attracted to? it's a shame you guys couldn't swap cars for a day. you might each have more respect for the other.

speeder 03-04-2004 04:05 PM

Jryerson, If that blonde is your idea of a beautiful woman, you're a big loser, pal. She looks like she jumped right off of a billboard for stripper-whores on the road into Las Vegas. You're right, she's not "a dime a dozen", but she's definitely a rental unit.

And thanks for treating us to one of the worst threads in the history of the Pelican BBS. You classy, Ferrari-owning Vegas resident, you.

Photoshopping a ferrari badge onto a girl's midriff. I think psychologists call this "obsessive projection"

BTW, if you want to see Wicked Weasel (wickedweasel.com) bikinis, just look at their website, or visit the shop in Byron Bay. You dont need no ferrari, baby..... You can set up an account and buy some tasty morsels for all your Ferrari babes. Quantity discounts available. You'll need them, no doubt.

Stuart,

Please change back into jeans and a t-shirt before we meet at the pub.

stuartj 03-04-2004 06:15 PM

Certainly Victor. Although I think in the Public Bar in a Wicked Weasel, my dance card would be full....

BTW, for all you Ferrari guys, Schumacker has just broken the lap record at Albert Park in the first F1 practice session of the year. Schumacker came out and did two (count em) laps, and broke the lap record.

(Lying in second is Vin Deisel in a wild card GTR Nissan)

Victor 03-04-2004 06:27 PM

Incredible. 1:25.127. He only ran a total of four laps. Which must mean Minardi have almost no chance of qualifying in the 107% rule.

That being said, I consitantly run in the 1:24's on the playstation. Without cutting over the grass too.

speeder 03-04-2004 07:21 PM

Jygerson, junior boy, you're really a quadripeligic w/ a breath-controlled keyboard, aren't you? ;)

Pathetic. Posting pictures from an internet search of "Ferraris+pretty girls" or "blondes", I assume? What on earth do they have to do w/ you?

And here's a challenge for you tough guy, post a picture of yourself w/ your GF or wife. Then we can see what a stud and great hunter-gatherer you are. Otherwise just go away. You know that you don't talk to people like this out on the street, face to face, right sissy? ;)

djmcmath 03-04-2004 07:48 PM

This thread is like the bad horror flick -- you know, "Just when you thought it was safe to return to the Off-Topic Forum the "dusted by a Nissan" thread resurfaces, showing the ugly head of Porschefiles at their absolute worst!"

It's like genital herpes, making painful and embarrasing appearances at the most ill-opportune moments, despite the best efforts of many well-intentioned people.

It's like the car accident, like the scene of violence and gore that, no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to look away, and keep coming back to despite my revulsion at reading each new post.

I've seen more name-calling, generalizations, stereotypes, disrespect, and general childishness here than I would have imagined from a group of people who I know to be mature and responsible. I've read many of your other posts, and I know that many of the people who are posting trash in this thread are intelligent, well educated, and generally very respectable people. Not to say that I am, in any way innocent of being childish or stupid, or above anyone else in any sense of the word, but please, I urge you, I beseech you, in the name of all that is holy, stop this foolishness. Just let it go! Put down the clubs, lay down your flaming keyboard, set aside your bruised ego, and demonstrate the true nature of Porschefiles, as seen elsewhere on this board.

<sigh> I'm probably opening myself up to all kinds of personal attacks by asking for peace, but I have to do this.

This STILL isn't dead yet? I gave up on jryerson on page four or so, I figured at some point everyone else would do the same. With him posting pics of STD petri dish strippers washing Ferraris, does anyone really need to say anything else?

Just show up to any one of the many Pelicanhead or Porsche gatherings in L.A. that originate on this BBS, looking forward to it. :)

I have a talent for killing threads, so let me have a whack at this one:

In the tradition of the "Chewbacca Defense," maybe this will make you all forget about Skylines, Ferraris, and such:

How did they stamp the "M" on that bun-like looking thing?

Amazing.
