A good friend of mine gave up liquor, fast women and rich foods. He was the picture of perfect health all the way up to the day he killed himself.

I love deadlines. I specially love the swooshing sounds they make as they fly by.

The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't.

Anything that happens, happens. Anything that, in happening, causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen. Anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen again, happens again. It doesn’t necessarily do it in chronological order, though.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the Western Spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-eight million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue-green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea ...

God's final message to Creation: Sorry for the inconvenience.

There is a theory which states that if anyone discovers just exactly what the universe is for and why we are here, that it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. Then there is a theory which states that this has already happened.

The problem with designing something completley foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of a complete fool.

Commenting your code is like sex: when it's good, it's really, really good .... but even when it's bad, it's still better than nothing.

There are those who have something to say and there are those who have to say something.

Ever wonder why the American's have a "dream"? Everyone's always talking about this enigma called the American Dream.

How come the Canadians or the Australians don't have a dream?

The answer's pretty simple - the British never gave them one.

But how come the Brits don't have a dream? I mean, they were the first ones to meaningfully cut ground on the concepts of individual liberties and capitalism, you'd think they would have been the first authors of a "dream" that would have then been emulated by others like the Americans.

So how is it that the Americans are the only ones with a "dream"?

Again, the answer is simple...

The rest of the world is awake.

"If an American is to amount to anything he must rely upon himself, and not upon the State; he must take pride in his own work, instead of sitting idle to envy the luck of others. He must face life with resolute courage, win victory if he can, and accept defeat if he must, without seeking to place on his fellow man a responsibility which is not theirs."
