Saw this out the window of an airplane yesterday while flying over northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. These things went on for literally a hundred miles. There must have been thousands of them. Any ideas on what they are?

George, the bumpersticker is a town in Germany that is sort of like "Hot Springs, Arkansas"...It's noted for it's mineral water baths with all sorts of "healing properties".
