From about ten years ago... My wife's '89 Mustang GT after her encounter with an 18 wheeler. She escaped with only three broken fingernails. She decided that was enough of Mustangs, and bought the VTEC DelSol shown in the last photo.

She should have bought a lottery ticket as well. I wouldn't have thought that to be survivable.

I didn't think anyone could survive it either. I was riding behind her at the time. As I watched the entire accident unfold, I just knew she was dead.

But God would not have it that way...

How about a few pics of cars I've seen at Track events I've been at over the years.

A Consulier...

Race prepped F355. That's a race-prepped Diablo in the background. (I almost tagged it at Homestead when he locked up the brakes coming out of corner nine.)

A reproduction of a DBR2 manufactured in NZ. The body is Al. The engine is an Aston.

Then there was the club member who bought Jeff Gordon's old NASCAR. ...It made a great track car.

A Shelby Toyota 2000-GT

Some kind of Ferrari

One of my top favorites. A genuine Lotus 23C. It shows up at CMP every once in a while.

Look at the color difference between the 911 and the 944! Are those both considered "guards red"?

No, the 944 is called "if I keep tryin' to sell these, I'll be in the red". Sorry, couldn't resist another 944 joke.

Eh, that one's a reach. The 944 was a huge seller, and they are bought and sold for not much at all these days.

Yes, we all know 911s are better than 944s . Sorry that i can't afford a 911 right now. Wish I could. But i like my 944, so take off, ya hoser.

Cars I've tracked:

'94 LT1 six-speed Corvette. ZR-1 brakes and rotors, '89 Z51 springs and shocks. On BFG KDs at the time. Tracked it for many years. This pic is from 1999. The car is going through Tower Turn at Sebring. Man, I miss it...

1999 Miata. Flyin' Miata Stage 1 springs and bars, Koni shocks. Falken Azenis tires. Fun, fun car. Cornered with the 911's, but wouldn't keep up in the straights. Car is on front straight at CMP.

1988 Porsche Carrera. 23/30mm torsions, and Bilstein shocks. Kuhmo MX tires. Pic way taken at a Turn One event. Next to me is my favorite student, my 84-year-old father and his Z4. He gets around the track pretty good. Must be the old fighter pilot in him...

Hurricane Wilma

Pics from the tail end of Wilma

My dog "hunkering down" - he looks small - he is 120 lbs.

My back yard - you can see some downed trees

Standing in my driveway - the wind is blowing about 50 MPH

The front of my house - just a couple of trees downed..

Looking down the street - more downed trees.
