This lake serves as the drinking water resource for a couple different communities. A major almost instant die off of native fish species has me a little concerned. The waters near the shore were full of them as well, all totally dead. :confused::(

Algae bloom?

Pretty early in the season up here for that, but it makes sense. Very intense agriculture around here, lots of phosphates make it into the lake leading to excess algae growth. Not really natural causes........

Funny, I wondered if it might be a volkswagen until I saw the check engine light was on, then I knew it was a BMW...
