Hats off to everyone posting in this thread - I love seeing your pics....please keep 'em coming!
Here's one from today - new parking lot landscaping....it's only day 3 on the project. Monday we planted 27 trees...7 of which were these beautiful 30 gal. 'Tuscarora' Crape Myrtles.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1471487642.jpg |

The pic I posted was just after planting - but before I installed drip irrigation for the entire length plus the other side of the lot. Here's a shot of the 2 valves which will serve this area. One for drip zone for the plants...the other for spray zone (15' half circles) for the right-of-way - that's what the white flags are for. I'll probably put the spray zone in on Friday. I also put in a hose bib since it's so far away from the building's hose bibs...and the other thing in the pic is the drip tubing stub out. :) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1471491470.jpg After we got the trees installed I had to hand water them as needed until I got all the irrigation in...and i made a point to stand under each tree's shade as much as possible...man it was cooking out! |

In persuit of Perseid
Mt. Baker sunset (10,781') as seen from the Anderson Butte area at 4,300' last Friday
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1471704164.jpg Mt. Baker sunrise last Saturday http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1471704224.jpg My Son and I shot at least 400 images trying to catch a Perseid Meteor in flight... crazy how many we saw either just after the shutter closed using 30 second exposures, or in a different portion of the sky than we were focused on. I caught just one pretty poor image. Ah well, next year! |
One little Perseid
Lower right hand corner streak, astronomers say most Perseids are the size of a grain of sand... mind boggling when you see how much light they emit!
