MT930, I love these photos, keep them coming. I don't get to fly often so these photos keep me motivated to get back in the air.

What kind of plane are you flying?

And tell me you didn't land this approach, it would have been a pretty wicked forward-slip unless my perception is off.

So, you have a piece trim, and it is long, so how to safely pack it, so the shipping monkeys don't bend it??

One way is to get a bicycle box, angle the trim piece in and load it with packing stuff, :D

The other way is this.

For a whopping $10 (which is less that buying the other packing material to fill a bike box & this won't have to be shipped oversized:D)

A few from the Festival of Speed yesterday. Unfortunately trackside access was blocked-off. The wankers make you sign a waiver then still keep you behind locked gates...jeez.

In the airline biz this is called a "shuttle approach." We also say sarcastically, "No sweat, you're high but at least you're fast."

We call them "Nose Bleed Arrivals"

No not a final picture, we were on a left crosswind for the turf runway on the right hand side.

Flying a American Champion Scout.

As most approaches are too long and shallow.....this one looks pretty good to me. Give me a 150 and 40 degrees of flaps I'll land it on the number from this position.
