I've been wondering for some time now if you get one of those press photographers passes that allows you free access to most areas of the track?

Actually I don't have a press pass of any type. All my pics are taken behind the fence. I do use a little 12" folding stool that gets my camera above the 6' fence. I have two cameras bodies but my lenses are pretty basic. I know the best place to shoot at Daytona. First time I attended the 24 was 1977!

Actually, I'd never heard that name for them until a few years ago. I'd always heard of them as plumeria which is a much prettier name.

Yeah Frangi Pani is the common name and Plumeria the Genus of the botanical or Latin name. I usually refer to them as Plumerias, myself.
