Nice Woody Woodpecker pic! I actually have a woodpecker call device (not sure what the official name of the gizmo is) but pretty cool to have and use occasionally when the mood strikes.... :)

I was just outside in the front yard looking up at all the stars. What a beautiful night! Then an Osprey lands on top of this super tall dead palm tree trunk I have. Freaking me out a little thinking about my 2 outside kitty kats. They are mature though so probably too big to get carried off.

Here's a very fuzzy pic of the Osprey taken with my cheap point and shoot - you can see his white chest.....

I have a hawk I feed that sits on top of my power pole. I wish it'd carry off at least some of the gophers around here, but noooo it just waits for me to bring out the food.

Thanks Baz
Now I've got to design a tracking device that will locate the spring on my lawn once it takes flight;)

Ha ha....BTDT....

Just make sure you have a spare on hand and Bob's your uncle!

FWIW...I've found that keeping them lubricated helps them to work smoother and thus helps them 'stay put' better.

:)
