Scroll down to plane 121 (on nose). That's the same plane in it's firefighting days. And a couple current pics. http://www.air-and-space.com/P4Y-2%20Privateer%20Tankers.htm |

Local tourist traffic went right off the road tonight. I drove up on it right after he went into the ditch, got my tractor and pulled him out of the woods. I should've gotten better pictures! Nobody got hurt, but note to self- next time, have his girlfriend record the rescue event while he was spinning and I was pulling. It was a righteous save! Oh well. :D

Dang, good save!!
Walked into work and it smelled like....a dead animal in the office. Tracked the offensive odor to the fridge. Gutted the stupid thing of practically everything inside. Then I found this........... WTH?!?!?!? A dead man's finger??? Severed pennis????? Or?!?!?!? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a10ed87b91.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...301e17b946.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks like a rotted Zucchini, Bugs.
Got some new tiki torches....fuel canister is made of colored glass. It was a 6 piece set with 4 table lamps and 2 traditional torches. Building a canopy over my back patio and am excited about finally developing a decent outdoor living area in back. These torches will be part of it.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1508631338.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1508631338.JPG |

I know. 75 years old and he can still drive like crazy and get out of the car with a big smile on his face! The rest of us can only dream.

Not perfect as it was a hand held iPhone with no flash in the dark trying to take a longish exposure. My car at a friends unit at M1 Concourse on Saturday night.

No if didn't misspell it. M1 Concourse is a private race track with 'car Condo's' in Pontiac Michigan catering to all the car nuts in SE Michigan. The pic is my Boxster outside a friends 'garage' after dark.

random pics that YOU have taken.......
Found these by the local airport, about 1000' from our home. It would explain the reasons the animals have been on edge this past week.

He Baz, Thanks man, although a local bear would be easier to deal with me thinks. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9a23e848ac.jpg Two 70-80' grey pines that have fallen victim to the bark beetle. Tiki torch shows that I am at your place in spirit Baz[emoji6]. Dropped it today, first tree that big[emoji33]. A little scary to be honest. Tried to direct it, didn't work out as planned. But at least I was far enough away from the house it wasn't in danger. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...28fc58887b.jpg My dad asked if I yelled "Timber". My response; "yeah, right after I said "Oh Shat, Rrrrrruuuuunnnnnn!!!" https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c1d6dcf377.jpg The ominous cracking sounds, kinda impressed how much ground I covered in such a short time. Jumped into high gear the moment the tree twitched. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f20dd99f19.jpg Mid fall https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8fd97db27a.jpg Right after impact. The only casualty is the 20' top of a pine that was snapped off when it was struck by the falling tree. The 8 second video is kinda cool but I can't upload it to the site. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ad451017fa.jpg My back was spent after cutting and moving wood all day. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a1af30d944.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...985758dc0b.jpg Built two large burn piles for fun later in the year after several rains. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b7ec7c121d.jpg The best part is that after spending one day at the parents ranch cleaning the property, one day chopping wood and cleaning up on our property...... last day-off is a Porsche Day!!!!!!!!!! Although, the wife wasn't too happy since I decided to do the "tree dropping thing" by myself without anyone acting as a "safety".[emoji12] |
Hard to fell a tree that big, Bugs, and have it go where you want. I did a job last year and had to drop two trees - not nearly as big as yours - and we tied a rope to the upper part of it to help guide it down where we wanted. Two person job - go very slowly - have escape route - it worked out well for us, thankfully. But a nervous situation for sure.
Today......watching this Osprey make his way northward along the shore.....into a fairly brisk headwind...he was looking for brunch! Caught him at a moment when he was ready to drop into his dive. Alas...he didn't....good eyes they have! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1508973495.JPG |

Thanks Baz,
I had to upload to YouTube to post it. The downside is that the profile changes right at the end https://youtu.be/rECZoe5hlLg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
