2 weeks ago my lovely wife and I were wondering the streets of Venice. With the current situation there I'm humbled we did not experience the epic flooding.
Timing is everything they say... we only saw very minor flooding in St. Peter's square, enough to make me feel unsettled as the water began bubbling up from the drains. Most tourists seemed to see it as no issue.
