Bixby Bridge how you usually see it The bridge at sunrise - but from the east Camping with the redwoods Time to relax on the beach. I was considerate of others, no one seemed to notice, but I sure noticed the ganja, so there's that... Friendly resident of Ragged Point

Byron, you often make me thirsty!
Finished up doing a renovation on our kitchen- everything except the cabinets and the refrigerator since it's still working fine. I've been itching to get up Northeast to see what snow conditions are like where I have been doing early season overnight backpacking trips for many years now. Getting less willing to camp on snow as time goes on. Good news, snow is pretty much gone where I want to camp. North Cascades highway is still closed, I'm sure the assessment and reopening are about to commence. Well OK, guess I'll stop and hike down to the lake then ![]() Just a wee bit of snow/ice in the shadowy areas ![]() First view of Ross, 80' down prepped for run off refill ![]() Dang, that would be very fun since it's got a Merc 115 hanging off the back. Named after a local peak which was name for an early settler and his wife's Sourdough bread. ![]() Ross Lake Resort in winter mode. The trail I want to hike runs up above tree line a couple hundred feet and North a few more miles... looks snow free! ![]() Oh good! the mountains are still hanging around ![]() View from what is usually 30' underwater Love PNW trails ![]() Sourdough mountain ![]()

So, two weeks worth of diesel...I have tried many other methods, but five gallon cans work best here. All off road gas so no taxes.

Off road Diesel has a red dye and stains your fuel lines. If'n you're suspected of avoiding fuel taxes you be busted....

The diesel is for tractors and mowers only. This time of year I go through a lot of diesel.

You could use a 50-gallon transfer tank and fewer 5-gallon cans for those times when you just have to run a quad with a can out to the back 40.
