First trip to Crater lake circa 1989... I was still shooting slides back then, digitizing continues.

We have tried 3 times now to catch the boat out to Wizard Island and summit it, this year it was obviously cancelled due to the CV.
A few years ago we were there on the last of day for the season for the boat run and we cancelled due to bad weather... we got snowed on the next morning on the way out of the park.
Maybe next year!

Something about being on the summit of a mountain in a lake on top of a mountain appeals to me.

My lovely wife and I also drove down into Cali that trip.

Saw my beautiful little resident corn snake again today....

Last time I saw him was last August......I think he's grown a little!

Mink, beaver, groundhog, muskrat, squirrel?

I saw a mink once down at the river's edge before, and beavers are around.

Snail shells are 1" to 2-1/2" diameter.

No Rose Parade this year, but here's some photos I took several years back while watching an army of volunteers build some of the floats.

Looks great Jolly!
I was just thinking about how overdue I am for at least an overnighter...

Looking back at a trip my Son and I took March 30th this year, I've only spent 4 nights outside this year, resolved to at least double that next year.

He's down in LA working in the solar panel industry... I miss walking in the woods with him.

Some day I have to go back packing in California. Visited Yosemite back when I was in high school but stayed in a cabin. Just drove up and rented one. Now days I hear you are lucky to reserve one months out. Wyoming was awesome except for the smokey haze drifting over from the fires in the Pacific North West. My son, daughter and her husband and I did a 5 day loop. Not many trees in the "forest" when the altitude got over 10,000 feet. Lots of lakes though.

April 2019, local back road portraiture of my Son's 1973 CB350F for a sales ad... it worked, bike was sold pretty quick!
