Visitor when fishing… hung around about half an hour then followed us for about quarter mile when we left. If he was looking for fish, he was on the wrong boat that day!

Out this afternoon with the dog. Weird weather for this part of the world.
I have multiple compost piles working on the farm. We have horses and they provide the fuel. The folks who keep the power lines clear bring me many tons of shavings a year. Last week it was in the 60's and I worked the rows with all the shaving and manure. The power crews dropped off four more loads three days ago...the big piles behind the dog. In two weeks the whole mess will be organized...I promise:cool: Green Acres. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1647125853.jpg |

In the main square of Krakow, PL about 4 months ago for a party at a restaurant. How things change so fast. Beautiful city and they all hate the Russians. They are still recovering from when the Soviets held Poland, although they are pretty far along. |
In late 1981, I spent a few weeks in Vienna, Austria teaching a class on maintaining the computer based equipment that the company I worked for was selling behind the Iron Curtain. Because it was difficult to get our technicians on site to work on the systems, we were able to gather a number of techs from Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and Czechoslovakia to meet in "neutral" Austria for the class. After the class was over, we organized a celebration in a private room at a restaurant in the Grinzing District of Vienna. After a delicious meal we sat around drinking and telling jokes. In about every joke these guys told, the butt of the joke was the Russians. They hated them.

Doubt there's any damage but boy howdy that sucker is LOUD when you have as much metal roofing as I have! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1647465399.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1647465399.JPG |

Love the image name, BTW. It reminds me of a story. Many years ago on the Rennlist email list, one of the guys from Imagine Auto (I think it may have been Stephen Kaspar) told this story. His wife went to the grocery store in an older Porsche 911 that they had. Being a couple of enthusiasts, she thought "great, I get to park next to another Porsche." I think she parked next to a 996 or something like that, and when she got out, the woman in the 996 got out and in a really snobby tone something like "don't hit my NEW Porsche with the door of your OLD Porsche." The woman then walked into the store. I guess the tone rubbed his wife the wrong way, and the store was VERY close to home, so she jumped back in the car and went home and traded the older 911 for their fancy, concours winning twin turbo. She then went back to the store and parked in the spot that she'd been in and sat in the car and waited. When the woman came back to her car, his wife got out and essentially repeated what the woman had said to her, something like "Please don't hit my NEW Twin Turbo Porsche with the door of your non-turbo Porsche." Steve told it much better, but it was hilarious to me at the time (and still is). |

Then it escalated from there. No damage, thankfully. Here's one of the videos I made......by this time the hail has subsided substantially..... <iframe width="640" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-v5BTaOb2PQ" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
