Well, showed up for my “Stress/Echo” test this morning.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738871523.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738871523.jpg They were very explicit about me wearing “Closed” toe shoes. And I complied. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738871626.jpg After filling out the paperwork, after about 10 minutes, the power in the area went out, so now I have been rescheduled for the end of April , if I’m still around. So time to take a break. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738872047.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738872047.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738872047.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738872047.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738872047.jpg |
I kept having a “tight feeling” in the middle of my chest and thought it might have been heart burn (which I’ve never had) back in January ‘23. One of the guys I play golf with is a cardiologist and said no, that’s angina. You need to get a stress test. Went to my primary (feeling fine) and he started with an EKG. He came back in and said you’re gonna hate me and sent me to the emergency room in an ambulance (still feeling fine). They did three stints and haven’t had that “tight feeling” since. Get it looked at sooner than later!

You ain't lyin' though. We just lost a local well-liked dude - at 43! Heart attack in bed at night. No idea if he had any warning signs. Left a young daughter and girlfriend behind. :( ================== Today.......wasp nest at one of my accounts. I think they are what are known as Paper Wasps. Very chill....never tried to attack me. In turn, I left them alone after securing the photo release.....;) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738980318.JPG |
^^^ interesting, don't think I've seen those ones.

Usually I get jabbed by Yellow Jackets, but these were pretty chill. Random....used carb set arrived today...will rebuild for my 2nd Gen (RC26) Interceptors. So nice when they have the fuel line tee intact! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738987241.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738987241.JPG |
^^^ maybe another invasive species in Florida. The latest craziness seems to be the Nile Monitor/Monster!

Nice score!
Brings back memories of rebuilding my big brother's Interceptor carbs- intimidating at first, then it was more like oh, that step was pretty easy. OK, do that 3 more times. Hart's Pass 2018- not a drive for the fainthearted- AI generated explanation- "Hart's Pass in Washington state has an elevation of 6,490 feet. It's the highest point in Washington that can be reached by car. Explanation Hart's Pass is located in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Methow Valley Ranger District. The road to Hart's Pass was built in 1893 and runs along a cliff wall. The road ends near timberline, over 6,000 feet in elevation, and opens into the North Cascades. Hart's Pass is a key access point to the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) and the Pasayten Wilderness." I've only been up to the Pass once in winter, 5 times in the summer and there are a couple sections (specifically Dead Horse pass) that will encourage you to keep both hands on the wheel. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739034392.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739034392.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739034392.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739034392.JPG This area is all hard rock mining, still some great examples of the machinery used to extract and crush rocks down to where gold could be extracted in Winthrop. There area at least 2 mines still in operation since gold prices have climbed http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739034392.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739034392.JPG The road up was so narrow they cut down the axles and narrowed the frame of 1920's model T's to navigate it, plus added a lower gear. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739034392.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739034392.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739034392.jpg |
