http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1612627837.jpg Back in the day.....don't know if the Shark is still operating. Once in a blue moon it snows there. Less times than when the Pier/Stearn's Wharf burns.... |

With Malibu....you'll never know what kind of snow that is....

Byron - you realize that is NOT a cat - right? |
Mark's right Byron... not a cat, not a cat at all, put it back!
Skagit hydroelectric tour back in 2015. I love old photos of projects like this, I'm in this area a lot and it's always interesting to see what was long ago. I also managed to catch my reflection in some of the pics of pics. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1613058213.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1613058213.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1613058213.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1613058213.jpg |

Nice depth of field work David!
And good on ya Byron for trying to help a feline in need! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads26/IMG_20210210_195406_4701613008590.jpg This reminds me of a story my FIL told me. After he retired one of the things he did was to put in a productive vegetable garden, fed half the neighbors from it. He was having problems with something getting in and eating produce, kinda ticked him off so he went a borrowed a live trap, set it out and caught a neighbors cat. He let it go... next night, a nice opossum was waiting and not happy about it. He decided to take entrapped opossum out for a drive in the back of his hatchback VW Rabbit out to a nice quiet spot along a local river where he would be far far away from his garden. He found a nice pull out on the outside of a corner, placed the trap facing away from the road and into the bushes and opened it up. The opossum ran out took a hard right out toward the street just as a pickup came around the corner and squashed him. I also remember him laughing and saying, hell- if I'd known how that was going to go I'd have run over him here in my own driveway. |
