The bear problem here got real a few nights ago. Mama and 2 cubs strolling thru the yard and my Schnauzer bolted out of the house into the lanai. 250lb mama bear immediately charged him (the cubs went up the tree) and they went at each other separated only by the screen. I ran out and grabbed him by the collar and got him back in the house. The bear went around the tree and stood up and stared me down. I clapped my hands loudly at her and she and the cubs took off. My dog wasn't hurt and went in and fell asleep on the couch. He fears no bear. Thunder? That's another matter :D

Thanks! That is my braque francais. Oliver is a very high energy dog for sure though he can couch nap with the best of them. He's got a little brother coming in a couple weeks.
