Some of my first trips up to the same lake with Brother Scott... 45 years ago
DAMN how time flies! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1676738173.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1676738173.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1676738173.jpg This trip was just Scott and I and the only one where our rain gear doubled as shelter... we learned. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1676738173.jpg My 9 year old nephew's first trip in and Scott's buddy Bruce Holiday (Yep, those Holiday's) I was very impressed at how my nephew did, never complained and was super upbeat and appreciative of the adventure... I had misgivings about him doing that kind of distance and rock clammering- he proved me very wrong. His nickname became "Young Rock Rabbit" http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1676738173.jpg Big brother with his and a good chunk of his son's stuff for a week long alpine vacation- as I recall his pack tipped the scales at 72 lbs. mine was 65. Gear is sooooo much better now- I can do a comfortable overnighter including tent, comfortable air mattress and food with a 25 lb pack. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1676738173.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1676738173.jpg |

Super new moon…lowest tide I think I’ve ever seen. Supposed to be a good fishing day tomorrow.

Saw this yesterday. Looks like the guy rented a Home Depot truck to pick something up at Lowe’s.

This is part of a fake city in Camp Grayling, MI used for CQ and urban combat training. This represents an urban municipal building. Entirely made of concrete with silhouette cutouts and manikins spring-loaded to pop up in various windows and doors.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1678587578.jpg This is the interior of a fake church including concrete pews, stage and altar. Explosive sounds, chaotic screaming and yelling and smoke are piped in along with remote controlled lighting. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1678588255.jpg |

Nearly an hour and only moved up three places. In an attempt to mail out a package. The recent storms have caused chaos in the local delivery system. Never did mail it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
