random pics that YOU have taken.......
Rolled in from work at 0330 this morning. We live in a rural area and I’ve been seeing a lot of bear activity. In fact, the most I’ve seen in the 23 years we have lived here. Anyway, several garbage cans were exploded on our road and Mrs Bugs didn’t get a chance to run the can up before dark. So I drag our can up with my trusty light and Roscoe in my pocket, just in case.
I discover a large pile of bear skat at the top our drive. My 11.5” shoe is scale.. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...fe969953f5.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...239ee717f2.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e67b34425a.jpg Either that it’s our local squatch rolling around again….[emoji2371] Come to think of it, there was a lot of owl hooting going on when I got out of the car.[emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

From Seahawk:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699634468.jpg It almost seems they like to leave a little (or pretty good size) calling card. I've come across bear droppings on a few different trails, I remember my BIL complaining about a pile left in a difficult section of solid rock a few yards from the 6,745' Little Jack summit... in a spot the trail forced you to step in it. He had to twice (going up and back down) and was not happy about it. Took a lap around the Mt. loop highway last Wednesday- 53 mile route that's got 13 miles of unpaved and seriously potholed road following a few different river courses. There are great logging road access points to multiple peaks, lakes and views. Fall colors have peaked and there's fresh snow at 4500-5000' and above Recent rain has the rivers and North Fork Sauk falls full and impressive- Did I mention I love the North Cascades? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699634468.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699634468.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699634468.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699634468.JPG Shadows of mountains on the sides of other mountains http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699634468.JPG Blue Jay flyby http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699634468.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699634468.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699634468.JPG |

Back pain treatments Byron? Do they help? I've never been cupped by another man, is that a human head growing out of the wall? Back to the regularly unscheduled randomness: Daytrip to Camano island, closest one to us, also visited a 1930 era fishing "Resort" and long time boat building workshop turned state Park named Cama Beach. Only saw 4 other people... love this time of year other than the chilly short days http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700545569.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700545569.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700545569.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700545569.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700545569.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700545569.jpg |

From Byron:
"Yes, the only relief that I have had has been because of acupuncture." Glad you've found something that works, low back pain chases me out of bed most mornings, keep it to a dull level with stretches walking, Chiropractor now and then. I'll have to check into acupuncture if it gets worse. masraum, that's Big Four (even though it has 5 minor peaks) at certain snow loads there is a giant number 4 created on the mountainside. 6160' tall and the site of the lowest ice cave in the lower 48 states. Road gets closed in winter, but it's a fun x-country ski or snowshoe in while it's closed. Spring is entertaining with the right conditions avalanches bound down it creating lots of noise and visual treats- give it plenty of space for the run outs... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Four_Mountain http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700931547.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700931547.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700931547.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700931547.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700931547.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700931547.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1700931547.JPG |
