Beautiful sunset shots!
On the SE shoreline of Lake Shannon is "Devils Tower" actually a Limestone crusher plant that operated from 1920-1960, all the large concrete structures including upper Baker dam, Diablo Dam, Ross Dam etc were built using lime this regional plant's product since huge amounts of Limestone are in the local mountains. 8 stories high, you enter at the 4th level- I did not explore the lower sections, stayed up in the sunlight. Spooky cool in my book. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698853203.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698853203.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698853203.jpg Complete with Pentagram for those special occasions http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698853203.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698853203.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698853203.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698853203.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698853203.jpg Time to get on home before it get dark and spookier http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698853203.jpg |

A bridge over the Huron River near the UM Hospital. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698881865.jpg The nearby Gandy Dancer (old slang for rail workers) upscale restaurant, which used to be a train station. One of my past favs. The Amtrak station relocated nearby and still runs past it to Chicago and then on direct to Seattle/Oakland/LA/Dallas/NewOrleans, or DC/Boston to the east. https://ontheworldmap.com/usa/amtrak-system-map.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698881912.jpg |

You can see the combine finishing the beans. We prefer a more aggressive approach. I had to pay a HOA fee for Dottie to sniff. |

Working on my 2005 BMW 330, I found this little guy hidden behind the dashboard.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699155167.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699155167.jpg Last night two lots down from me. Someone missed the curve and went over the cliff. No body was found, so either they were not hurt too bad, or it was a TikTok challenge. This car was registered up here, so it was a local and the speed limit on all association roads is 25mph. Apparently, there is a reason for the restriction. |

IOM TTs. Blowing by so close and so fast feels like standing on the shoulder of the interstate when a semi goes by. I almost dropped my beer.

What? That's as good a theory as any. When they tie the vehicle to the owner, more info may emerge. |
