The lightest of the bunch made two passes over the ice, I watched and know the pond is only a couple feet deep so if he broke through he would have soaked his feet and legs and maybe learned a little lesson in the process.

I took about an hour long walk around the area and when I came back by a local sheriff had just pulled over to have a chat with them.

Decided to get rid of a crappy old storage unit that we moved in with and haved used for 30 plus years.I'm always happy when I can dig around it my lumber and hard ware supplies and find everything I need for a project.

Was having a flat repaired on the Turbo, and since I hate sitting around waiting, I walked down the street to a saloon. On the way back, I spotted this on the sidewalk, so I grabbed it.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738190901.jpg

That looks like a lot of fun. We got a free canoe and have taken it to a local river once (me, son, grandson). It was a lot of work. I think 6.5 miles took about 4 hours. It would have been better except we waited until it was the grandsons summer break, so even if it's not hot when you start, it's scorchin' by the time you finish, and a 6yo gets bored sitting in a boat for 4 hours in the sun. I'd love to be in a kayak that I assume is smaller and takes less effort than a decently big canoe.

There's a thing in this area of Texas. Lots of little churches that were built by the Czechs that settled the area. They didn't have money for fancy churches like they were used to in Europe, so they painted the inside of the churches. There's a "painted churches" tour that you can take here that tours around something like 10 little churches. They are very similar to what you show there.

Those pedals should have been called "shin wreckers". Holy moly, those things were brutal if your foot slipped off.
