Nephew got me into Jim Creek Navel Station sub communications and recreation base. 225 acres of lowland old growth got saved due to one tenacious navy man.
Don’t often see where a beaver has given up, if it fell the right way it would have landed in a narrow passage way between Twin Lakes and caused much celebration in the beaver lodge http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748320289.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748320289.jpg Three Fingers, only summited it once, getting beyond my mountain climbing prime for such endeavors http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748320289.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748320289.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748320289.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748320289.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748320289.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748320289.jpg |

I am to photography how Leo Kottke described his singing voice: Geese farts on a muggy day.
I struggle. Given my complete lack of "eye" (or skill) there will be no upgrade in cameras except for this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748544405.jpg The pictures will still be atrocious, but the ugliness will be closer! Taken from my desk a few minutes ago. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748544405.jpg I promise to be restrained:cool: |

This time of year, if you're out driving around in the evenings, it's not unusual to see tarantulas crossing the road. Several years ago, I saw one while mowing the lawn. Today on the way home from the store I saw one crossing the road and texted the family "while did the tarantula cross the road". When I pulled into the "driveway" I saw one crossing the driveway, so I stopped and whistled so the grandsons would come out so they could see it. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748566442.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748566442.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748566442.jpg |

Seahawk, keep at it-,there is some level of skill that just needs to be brought out through practice.
I practice a lot😀 Off to LA to visit our son and his partner Maria- and the granddogs if course I love flying out of Paine field in Everett, 30 minute drive and as long as you are there a half hour before departure you will have no problems - On the other side of the coin is landing and negotiating LAX. There are worse places and it sure makes little Paine field seem like a dream. Early flight gave us time to go hit Redondo beach before the drive to Pasadena http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748712871.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748712871.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748712871.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748712871.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748712871.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1748712871.jpg |
