More of a Tug NW style- The Skagit, named after the Skagit river I surmise. It worked the waters of Ross lake for decades, I suppose it just got too long in the tooth and too thin of the metallurgy to keep maintaining. It was up on Ross dam in 2008, got transported somehow to a flat-ish area a little below the dam and then cut to bits and hauled out. There is no road access to this area and had to be barged out. Seems to me it would have been easier to drag it down to Diablo and floated to where there is road access- 2008- http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756652718.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756652718.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756652718.jpg |
