Pardon my ignorance, but this just seems childish to me. I mean, really. First, ya shouldn't go breakin' the ethics rules. Second, if somebody breaks the ethics rules, ya oughtta go after 'em. Third, ya shouldn't go after somebody fer breakin' the ethics rules "because they filed charges against one of our guys, man," ya oughtta go after 'em fer breakin' the ethics rules 'coz it's the right thing to do.
Bizarre. Dan

If he's broken the rules, he should be punished... as should anyone else who has. This could be internecine warfare on a grand scale.
The article mentions redistricting w/o any context, however. While the Dem's ran Texas for the last 40+ years, they regularly engaged in gerrymandering on a biblical scale. Now that the tides have turned in the Lone Star State, many Dems have not acquitted themselves very honorably -- like a huge number of the Dems fleeing the state when voting was to take place to deny the now-in-power Republicans the prerogatives the Dems made so much use of when they had the reins. Odds on a Republican ethics complaint against Kerry, if the election looks close in Sept?

Looks like we might be entertained by an ethics holocaust. In this kind of circumstance, I'll be throwing my empty beer cans at the TV screen in anger just like the morons who think radio talk-show hosts provide good information. We'll both hope for a House-cleaning. And a Senate-cleaning.
Also, I find it more than a little unsettling that the parties have somehow been working under a verbal ethics "truce." So, I guess if they both look the other way, then the kids have no supervisors. "We'll let you cheat if you let us cheat."
