It's the economy, Mr. Bush.
Retail sales see largest fall in 16 month July 14, 2004 WASHINGTON (AP) -- Consumers are having to dig deeper into their pockets to pay for gasoline, so they're not buying as much elsewhere. The Commerce Department says retail sales weakened more than expected in June. The decline of 1.1 percent is the biggest in 16 months, much of that because of falling car sales. The drop virtually erases strong gains seen in May. Excluding the automobile sales component, sales were down two-tenths. Economists believe rising energy costs are part of the reason. A more temporary factor cited is moderate weather in some parts of the country, which hurt demand for summer items. Copyright 2004 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved. |

Mull, do you really believe this?
"The only reason the right owns radio is because the liberal message only stands up if it doesn't have to take callers or be held to debate." If that is the case why does Rush have his calls screened so that he does not have to debate with people who know the facts. He has been challanged to debate many times and always refuses. Just my thoughts. and Yankee911 - I like your style
