wow, this is an exciting election....late field goal wins it
|
an Ohio update.
Now Bush needs only get 6.5% of what's left in oHIo. (meaning Kerry would need to get 93.5% of the remaining uncounted) Yet CNN, NYTimes, won't give GW oHIo. Pathetic. |
Local news just gave Bush Ohio.
Kerry leads Bush here by 33,012 votes; pretty much certain our miniscule 4 votes goes to Kerry. Hawaii has been a predominately Democrat state, voting Republican only two times, for Nixon and Reagan. |
I thought you guys chose Ford too.
|
According to a local news website, "Kerry is counting on Hawaii to deliver again. in fact, the only times Hawaii backed a republican candidate was in 1984 with Ronald Reagan and 1972 with Richard Nixon."

turnout...
California city Ca.... Got back from voting, they had so many people, that they had to start using spanish ballots for the last few english speaking voters!! Really!!!

ok, I can't sleep until this is finished up.
Flip to CNN, i think Larry King is about to go postal. |
also, take a look at www.airamericaradio.com Looks pretty sad for those clowns. I'm listening to them ramble on right now... it's pretty pathetic.
|
As of 2:30am (CA time), CNN has...
Bush at 254 Kerry at 252 |
ok, everyone is asleep and i'm awake now.
cnn has it 254 - 252 bush lead fox has it 269 - 242 bush lead i'm not sure which states they don't share, but looks like fox gave OH to bush and NBC is also giving it to bush. edit: wanted to add some things that i've calculated. fox hasn't given NM to bush yet, but with my calculations, kerry would have to win every vote of the 1% that's left to take NM. same goes for IA. kerry would have to take every vote to win. so it is down to OH. currently bush is up 2,793,592 to kerry's 2,656,295 with 99% reporting. i'm not sure how the absentee ballots and the umm... what are they called? provisional ballots. fox just said that there are about 170k provisional ballots in OH. almost all of those would have to go to kerry for bush to lose and for kerry to be the next president. i'm sure someone out there has calculated the odds of that happening but i'm pretty sure it's not very good. i don't want to be the one that calls it, but looks like we're gonna have 4 more years of the same. i can't say that i'm very excited about it, but considering what kerry may have brought, i think i'll take 4 more years of the same. andrew card, chief of staff, is speaking now. he said that they are looking at bush's win with at least 284 votes. also said that bush is the first to win with more popular votes since 80-something. not sure how official his call for an OH win is, but... he said it. cheers, serge |
when edwards gave his "we've waited for years for this, we can wait one more night..." he looked like he was on drugs. i know i know... he was just tired, but i tell you what. his hair looked great.

Ohio is not Florida. Florida was under 2000 votes between the candidates (Norrowed to a few hunddred). Bush beat Gore in Ohio last time by over 100,000 votes and it's 150,000 this time. Why is it too close to call?
Crap. 5 Am and no wiener... |
Bush (t)wins

I was surfing through the chanels last night around 1:30am....happened across cBS with Dan Blather still hosting......MAN, he looked furious!!!!! :D

I'm kind of surprised they haven't called it yet...but oh well...personally I think it is wise for Kerry not to concede until the EC has voted.
I'm very disappointed; We'll likely have another 4 years of zero diplomacy and more war. As much as I am disappointed in the presidential race I am also disappointed in the California ballot measures... The voted for the DNA sampling which allows law enforcement to collect samples just based on an arrest or charge. Not guilt....stupid people... |
When Rather Biased Dan announced the results of the "Republican revoloution" he looked like someone had just told him that his son was doing gay porn on the internet.

CNN still won't call New Mexico, Iowa or Ohio. Silly.
