Wacco had that religious cult, so one would think he was strinking back for those who had fallen practicing an extreem form of Christianty. I think McVeigh claimed he did not do it, and was set-up. Did he change his tune before the government silenced him forever? There could of been camps of Christian extreemist cheering at the fall of the Oakie fed building, but the fact that they were probably hiding in the hills and bunkers means we did not see it.

To me, the only thing that separates Muslim extremist from Christian extremist is economic conditions. There’s a reason why Christian extremist numbers aren’t growing while Muslim extremist numbers are growing. It’s financial. In most countries where there is a Christian majority, everyone has a chance to succeed through hard work. This isn’t the case in most Muslim worlds. Muslim extremist are the only ones providing shelter, schooling (albeit warped), and community. As long as they don’t turn their anger on the ruling class and stay focused on their hatred of Jews and Christians, the monarchies allow them to exist. It’s a cheap form of control.
Bin Laden actually recognized this and struck out at Saudi Arabia on a number of occasions. Of course, no where near the degree that he did Americans but he recognized that much of his funding was coming from the Arab nations so he had to temper, to a degree, what he did against them. Most extremist aren’t coming from the middle class or upper class. They are coming from the lower class with no chance of ever rising. The extremist leaders have been able to focus this frustration and successfully blame the West and Jews.

Shaun 84 Targa,
Good luck on your venture. Young girls need to learn that lasting self esteem comes from charachter and achievement, not how cool you look in your Abercrombie thong. Go get 'em!

"The distinction here is so clear even Ray Charles could see it & he's dead & blind. Swing & a miss 911."
Mule, If you would have read the links (albeit lengthy), you would have realized I had no position to take other than to point out that contrary to the expressed assumptions, perhaps a Christian has killed Muslims via a "terrorist" act. I'm sure we could also get into a discussion of the semantics of terrorism as well. But let's leave it for the western definition of the word. I used the word PERHAPS as indicated by the links provided; one of which describes a potential extreme Christian link; another describing a potential Iraqi agent link and a third in an article by Gore Vidal which may be closer to the truth than the prior two (or at least provides us some insight as to McVeigh's state of mind and rationale). Sorry, can't miss if there's no swing; just offering some alternate possibilities. You are open to possibilities to consider, yes? No arm bending on my part.
