I hope so. I was gone all last weekend and looking forward to watching what I thought my TiVo had recorded, but there was nothing there....

Same thing happened to me last week. What a disappointment!

Last night's episode was pretty bad and un-original. I can't think of how many times I have seen similar "Reporter documentary" episodes on other shows, but it has been many.

It did have two redeeming points how ever.

1. It shows that Tigh is no pansy despite all his other flaws.
2. Now we know that Lucy Lawless's character is a cylon. That is one more variety of cylon identified.

Agree with you on the two points.

I didn't find it to be bland at all. And that Xena (the reporter) is a cylon -- I didn't realize that until the end when the cylons were viewing the vid on Caprica. Good twist!

Did anyone else catch the original Battlestar Galactica theme playing in the background during the 'final cut' of the film? I thought that was a great tribute to the original show - and they waited till half of the second season to do so - excellent.

I suppose next week we find out how if Sharon is a sellout to the cylons or the humans....

It just keeps getting darker and bleaker - I LOVE IT!

Remember the one that was trying to seduce Adama (alter ego to Baltar's brain tumor). She's still around, out there...

I don't know...it showed that the media supports the cylons...hmmmmmmmmm.....

I'm thinking more and more that Baltar is a Cylon. I know all of these have been pointed out, but:

1) He probably died on Caprica during the nuclear explosion and his consciousness was downloaded to a new body.

2) The Number Six in his head is probably how he perceives his Cylon programming.

3) Number Six keeps referring to Sharon's baby as "our" baby when speaking to Baltar. Could she mean "our" as in "the Cylon's" baby?

Since the second season began, the beginning credits of the show added the phrase, "And they have a plan." They show Baltar and Number Six leaning over a baby's crib when they say this, which alludes to the fact that part of their plan has to do with some type of offspring.

I believe this offspring will be a human/cylon hybrid. Seems pretty obvious that's the way they are heading:

When Starbuck was in that hospital and discovered all the women who were being experiemented on, the theme was the same - the cylons are trying to impregnate HUMAN women. (I wonder when they're going to figure out what that second cut on Starbuck's abdomen is? Wonder if there's going to be a cylon Starbuck clone....)

Also: it is obvious that Heli and Sharon's offspring will be a human / cylon hybrid.

So, I believe their plan is to develop / evolve a new human/cylon hybrid. (Hmm - almost sounds like the Borgs from Star Trek).

But why would cylons want to develop such a race? In all their anger and hatred towards humans, they still seek to be as human as possible. They seem to want to experience human emotions, human pain, human enjoyment, but their 'machiness' prohibits this from happening. If they can create a cylon/human hybrid, and transfer their consiousness to such a creature, they would be a step closer to this. THAT is what I think their plan is.

Now, back to how Baltar and Number Six fits into this theory: If we assume that Baltar is a human, and Number Six is a cylon, then it would be logical to have the two of them lead this new species of human/cylons: a Human/Cylon leadership team heading the new species. Therefore, Baltar has to be a human, and not a cylon in order for the 'balance' of leadership to occur.

PS: I don't think there has been an 'original human' version of any of the 'cylon copies.' Has there? I think that the human looking cylons (Number Six, Sharon, Xena) were NOT created based on humans, but they were created eons ago and planted into the human population - hence their 'concscious' experiences. But it does make more sense that they were cloned humans.

I think that Baltar will be revealed to be one of the 8 cylons in the fleet--probably the last one. I think that he will then have a choice on which side to take. So far, he's been helping/hurting both sides to serve his own ends.

Maybe the Cylons just stole some of Starbuck's eggs? (I hope that's all.)

i just keep deleting the emails when i get the notifications, but i'm checking in to find out whether any of you know if the 1st season has come out on dvd yet.

I have the U.K. version of the first season on DVD.

I don't know about DVD, but they are replaying most of the 1st season on 9/20 starting at 8am (at least here on the west coast).

The US version of season 1 on DVD will be hitting stores on September 20th.

There is a "UK version" of season 1 already out. IIRC, it's only available at Best Buy. The difference is that the UK version doesn't have all the extras that will be in the US version.

The way I figure, you might as wait till next week and get the US version. That's my plan, anyway.

PS: I still think Baltar is NOT a cylon. If your logic is based on the fact that he couldn't have survived the nuclear attack on Caprica, then we must assume that ALL people who were air-lifted off of Caprica are cylons. And there were many people who were rescued from there - far more than 8. ;) No, I think Baltar needs to be a human - it's a better fit.

I also base it on Number Sixes use of "our". It's already been proven that the baby she was speaking of is not her's and Baltar's, so how could it be their's?

We'll just have to see how this develops as the series continues on. Care to wager on the outcome? How about a root beer? :D

What was the purpose of Zena's film? Why did she need to get it back to other cylons?

Was it to show galacta's defenses & procedures? Or, to show Sharon's pregnancy? Or, something else?

Why were the cylons so interested in whether it was aired over the entire fleet?

Keep in mind, that the President and Adama asked the reporter to shoot a news report on Galactica. I think, once there, she snooped around to find out as much as possible.

She seems to be maitaining "deep cover". She produced the documentary (showing Galactica in a favorable light) and she reported who had been threatening Tigh once she realized.

legion- You're right about her being asked. I forgot about that.

But, she said it was very important to get the film back to the other cylons...

It was also weird how happy cylon-sharon was when she discovered pregnant-cylon-sharon (this could get complicated) was still alive.
