Tabs - I'm staying at the Palms and not renting a car. Cabs are more drunk frindly than a Ford Taurus and a State Trooper!

The Bell-ag? Man did I put on a few good "fats" at the venue. I'm down.

This thread made me hungry, so I cooked tonight.

Chicken and ribs. Dry rub then smoked slow. Indirect heat with a hot finishing sauce.

Watermelon and white corn fron Brentwood.

Bed of spring lettuce covered wih sliced heirloom tomatoes, feta cheese and a balsamic vinegarette.

1990 BV Private Reserve cabernet.

Moses has a big case of happy belly goin' on right now.

my brother just came back from a bachelor party in vegas. lesson learned: CABS TO AND FROM STRIP JOINTS ARE FREE!!!!! i guess the clubs pay the drivers a comish to bring the dudes. i heard $60 bucks a head! one driver even covered the covercharge for my bro. no driver will tell you this, because the money you pay is extra...be wise. (some drivers even denied this, but all buckled when my bro offered to ask the club doorman).

TABS, why not the bar-b-chef grill? cheaper, and i think it seems better with the crank elevation charcoal thing.

So Vash, your telling me I can grab a cab from one venue, take it to a "holey place", go in for a chub, leave and have the next cab take me back to the hotel for free? *****, these hidden savings are mounting up, before you know it they will start paying me to go to Vegas!

One of the many reasons I live in SoCal is that I can bbq pretty much year round. So I finally completed my BBQ project - did all the work myself except for pouring the concrete top and installing the palapa. I have low voltage lighting under the counter and above lighting the inside of the palapa. Tabs will sneer at the cheapo $1200 BBQ Galore but it looks great and I've already cooked for 20 kids and 14 adults no problemo. If I could do it again I would skip the built in refer and go for a big concrete sink for ice/drinks.

David - That is a great looking set-up!

We had a couple that lived across the street that had one of those above their grill - I guess the mice and rats liked it. One night, one fell on her head while she was grilling. Freaked her out so bad that hubby was made to tear it down. If it was my wife she would have stompped it to death and thrown it on the grill and fed it to the dog nextdoor!

To he11 with the dog next door serve it to me...I'll eat it.....

I have really been temped by a gas grill before...but being a "Purist" it's wood and Charcoal for me...an $1200 is nothing to sneeze at....and U have a real nice BBQ island....
