WOAH! How about that bicycle rider... splitting the right lane and the exit ramp (1:46-1:50)?

I have never seen a cyclist on the interstate. I know right where those cloverleafs are. I guess he might be a Mauldin resident with a few too many beers in him.

And I'm not hearing any tire squeal. (To make my commute interesting in the morning, I try to get my tires to squeal on at least one of the 3 on-ramps I traverse. Oh yeah - in my Ford Pickup truck no less! )

Just sayin'

Hard to tell, but as a casual observer of said video, I interpret his driving style as trying to maximize the G-force of the 'artificial twisties' by adhering closely to the inner diameter of each leaf of the cloverleaf. Maybe hitting the apex just kind of takes the fun away for that driver, yes? Kinda like cutting the curves on a mountain road .... what is the point? You can go fast if you want on the freeway. Also, I think he said in his video notes that his primary mission was testing out microphone placement.

As for tire squealing, upon close examination of the video, it appears to me that there is a lot of sand and other flotsam on many parts of that interchange so getting too aggressive may get expensive for him real fast.

But then again, we may never know unless the actual driver speaks up.

This guy has to get a new management company. Only 14,143 views in 3 years? Some great R & B. Billy Porter.

Ian

Edit: And I loved that Auckland video!

Excellent version of Voodoo.

With little press fanfare, Bebo Valdés dies last Friday. As wiki says: "a Cuban pianist, bandleader, composer and arranger. He was a central figure in the golden age of Cuban music, led two famous big bands, and was one of the "house" arrangers for the Tropicana Club."

Here is Bebo playing piano on "Vete de Mi" a song off of his stunning collaboration with Diego El Cigala.
