Yes, many cars of the era were similar as covered in the video - you watched it, yes?

But undaunted, Ganz continued to send his ideas for a small, affordable car with independent suspension, swing axles, backbone chassis and a rear-mounted engine, to various manufacturers, particularly to the motorcycle companies who were keen to develop small cars.

Ganz was offered a consulting position with various companies including Adler and Daimler Benz. This allowed him to continue editing his critical magazine.
In 1931, he built a prototype at the Adler plant which he called the Maikafer, (German May Bug). With its pointed rear and its brown colour, it really did look like a bug. It was so light that one person could lift the front off the ground.

Starting the Maikäfer 'Volkswagen' prototype from 1931 by Josef Ganz at the book presentation of 'Het ware verhaal van de Kever: hoe Hitler het ontwerp van een joods genie confisqueerde' ('The true story of the Beetle: how Hitler confiscated the design of a Jewish genius') by author Paul Schilperoord - just before driving it on the race track during the Nationaal Oldtimer Festival in Zandvoort. For more information see: Josef Ganz – Father of the Beetle
So, we have some people saying Tatar and Ganz predate some of the Porsche/VW work.

I don't take a stance one way or the other, I just find all of it interesting.

My first attempt at video with my DSLR. Houston Fireworks. It didn't turn out too bad. I think I needed to tweak some options. I tweaked one part way through thinking that I might be blowing out some of the highlights, but I think that was a step in the wrong direction.
