Why do I get this picture in my mind of fastpat morphing into a whipped puppy tucking his tail between his legs and running off into the distance squealing "eyr eyr eyr eyr eyr eyr eyr eyr eyr eyr eyr eyr!!!!" ?

You misunderestimate me, Denis. On this issue and this issue alone (Bush-hatred) you lefties and the lefty intelligentsia (lol) agree with fastpat...Then shortly thereafter ya'll go your separate ways...He back to my side and yours aiming at his and mine.

Rest assured, when push comes to punch (in the ideological arena), fastpat and I are much closer allies than you and the leftists EVER will be (unless he is just a commie in rabid sheep's clothing--which I am beginning to entertain).

Actually, I think that he echoes my views on the Iraq invasion to a "T". I am not a pacifist, or a "liberal", though I really don't mind being called one by Bush supporters, and I am not a hardcore Libertarian but I respect their viewpoint if it is intellectually honest.

I believe in the UN, flawed as it is, because it is the only organisation of its kind that brings all nations together at one table on a regular basis, including sworn enemies. It does have massive potential for avoiding wars and maintaining peace, if member nations abide by the charters that they agreed to. I completely agree that Iraq broke their agreement w/ the UN, but as Pat correctly pointed out, they did not have any separate agreement w/ the U.S. Using the U.N. as justification for invading Iraq while ignoring its ruling at the same time truly does not pass the straight face test in a way that I have never seen in my lifetime from our government. You would expect this level of diplomatic integrity from a 4th world tinpan despot. That is what I think of Bush, Cheney and the rest of the asshat-wearing neocons.

It's a pretty nice truck, really came into its own when I towed 10,900 pounds of trailer, boat, and other "things" in the boat across country from CA to South Carolina last October. All in all, it's pretty good. I ordered it from a dealership, first time I've spec'd out a vehicle before buying new.

There is a problem with it though, mine has developed the rather infamous rear main seal leak that 2003 and early 2004 models seem to have all too often. Bad considering the truck has less than 20k miles on it. There were reports that some 6.0 powerstrokes had the problem as they sat on the dealers lot. I'll have it fixed soon, just need the time to trot it to the dealership five miles away.

First, there is no war on terror; second if you want terrorism to stop, demand the US government stop participating in it; third, demand the US government protect America and only America; and last but not the end of this list, demand that the US government cease providing foreign aid to any country that conducts aggression and terrorist activities against another country.

Those would be a very good start, and better than a zero sum game.

Can you show me where in the Constitution the Federal government is granted the power to distribute my money to other countries at all, regardless of their affliations?

So why then are you attacking the messenger? (FastPat). Debate the points.

You cannot reason with the unreasonable..."Contempt prior to investigation will leave a man (fastpat) in everlasting ignorance."
