I'm not seeing posters apologizing for what they drive.

The crux of the humor in the list is insecurity, clearly.

I hereby apologize for my DD Subaru.

I tried to buy a nice Honda hybrid CRV but they don't have the model I want - been trying for months now.

At a place where I worked, I was talking with a Ducati rider and a female buddy of ours came over and said 'Ha, Porsche driver and Ducati rider. Obviously compensating for something" and nodded at our crutch level. I replied "Oh no no no... If we were compensating we would have come to work in the large red bus." I felt I won that round LOL

Oh God, I own a Cayenne too!

I don't get it-- A Buick and an Integra would be complete opposites. Integras handle great but lacked power as a FWD sporty coupe. Buicks were floaty RWD and FWD pieces of garbage that had plush (velvet) interiors. Buicks are driven by geriatrics; Integras by younger dudes. I have no stake in the game having never owned a Buick or an Integra.
My in-laws are Buick people, so over the past couple decades I've had the opportunity (I wouldn't necessarily say pleasure) to drive about 5 or 6 of them. And I'd have to say that you're spot on in your assessment of those cars. Kinda like shepherding a couch down the highway.

I guess i'm in a whole nother category. I recently bought a T-350 Transit van & really like it. Took the rear seats out except for the row behing the driver & passenger. I can get 4x8 pieces of plywood in there.
