I'm a 911 ('82) owner and wave and flash. Here's an interesting bit of info. I was reading through the owner's manual and it actually says to flash other Porsches for the brotherhood of the car. Now, I've never seen any new manuals, but I bet they don't have this clause.

As a matter of fact Save the flash!. It is kind of hard to flash the lights in the daytime if you have popup lights though.

Every Boxster owner I have ever met has waved. Every 996 owner has waved. Don't see too many 993s on the road. Never seen a 928 owner do anything but try and race me(never works out for them
). All the rest have waved when I see them. Flashes are a different story. Dave |

I usually just gave a nod of the head, but 944 owners, one in particular with an S, never waved.

you need to just pull back a bit on the turn signal stock. this makes your fog lights go on. Thats how I am able to give a flash during the day hrs. very rare to get a flash back |
