I don't know about you, but there is nothing more American than the Stones at the Superbowl.

Well, maybe U2 or Pink Floyd?

Ok, maybe not so patriotic, but at least it wasn't some half naked teeny bop chickie shaking her thing for family viewing.

We were all VERY concerned that Mick would have a wardrobe malfunction.

A friend of mine works in advertising, a top dog who is on the Jaguar account...

He was in the front row for the Stones performance yesterday...so he calls me and holds up his cell phone so I could hear the live performance.

it was pretty bad...Jagger was way off in his lyrical delivery.

I agree. The stadium was having sound issues all day, especially with the talent part of the show. The Motown review in the beginning was aweful. Mikes not working, poor mix, everything that would be a players nightmare.

I play cards with a Proffessional Jazz Musician who was backstage at the Mandalay Bay Stones concert. He says they are playing better than they have in years.

Anyway the Stones stopped being Cutting Edge..."For Reals"...after Altamont in 69...and became just Show Biz entertainers from then on. They saw what being "For Reals" really meant when that Black Guy was murdered right in front of them by the Hells Angels.

Daddy..Sympathy for the Devil, Midnight Rambler, Gimme Shelter, Jumpin Jack Flash, Memo from Turner, Stray Cat Blues...was all OUT ON THE EDGE STUFF., and we are no talking about cutting edge music either...but tales from the darkside here.
