Well, if you would like a nice Patek Phillipe pocket version (or maybe a Hamilton 36, go to ebay, then under community, search for "watchmaker63038"...then items for sale...that'll get your collection off to a running start. (might even find some Corvair parts there as well)...hehe

If you are just looking for a good quality "knock around" watch, how about a Luminox? Or are you looking for a "dress" watch?

Just looked and nothing for sale at the moment under that name. Assume that its you?

Always looking for something nice, especially if the price is good. Its an investment that you get to wear, which makes it better IMHO.

I guess I should not have used the "quotes"...try watchmaker63038 under Community, then click on "seller's items"...Should have 21 items listed. The pocketwatches are nice, especially the 2 Patek Phillipes.

Ah, great site, I've been wanting one of these

I've bought tools and watchbands from Howard, but not a watch, so far.

This is NOT a collectible but I thought it was worth mentioning...

I don't like to carry PDA or Palm with me but I need to be reminded where my meetings will be and sync'd with Outlook..

Say no more:

This watch will receive via FM signals custom information like weather, stock info, news headlines, sports, MSN Messenger messages and syncs with my office Outlook!!

In my view this is great !! Watch is a bit to big but its amazing...
Check it out:
http://direct.msn.com

People at the office are buying this too... (especially for the Calendar sync)
I'm not sure why Microsoft is not advertising this technology.

I have the same strap that's on that watch. Jurgen's Tropics Pilot's band. I love the "rivet" look (actually a screw) and the fact that it's got a rubber backing to keep the leather off of your skin and away from sweat. I've got one in black and brown.

Just picked this up, my 16th mechanical watch...at a gun show of all places.

Got lucky on this one. It costed me $200 and a $350 Sig 232 in trade, which is a song for this watch. It has a mint Universal movement from the 50s and this puppy keeps time to <1 second a day after spending $100 on service.

Probably not worth much--Waltham revolutionized assembly line watchmaking--but it's 106 years old and has a ton of sentimental value.

Alf - What a find, that's a beautiful vintage watch and a Girard Perregaux no less. You lucky devil!!

Paul K - I love the Carrera also, back in the mid 90's they reissued the watch, at that time just under the Heuer brand with a nice perforated black leather strap. I always though it was a classy watch with great racing pedigree.

BigChill - Some of the early digital watches have really increased in value over the past few years, you should make sure they are in a safe place. Having had many personal items stolen from my area at work during a break in we had recently, I feel your pain - bastards, should be strung up by their nuts covered with honey and let the fire ants at them!

Does anyone know anything about this watch? It's an Omega "Seamaster DeVille." There's an inscription on the back dated 1981.

My latest acquisition just arrived from Hong Kong, not available in the US, a Casio G-shock GW-5600BCJ-1JF

I bought a G-Shock in 1983 when they first came out, don't remember what I paid for it, but I still have it, it still works perfectly, and is now valued at $2000.00 by collectors. Who'd have thunk it?

The gadget boy inside me really wants one of these however the reviews on the Internet are not very positive.
Are you saying you have no problems with reception?
