Kim, you are welcome to come on down anytime. We could practice surviving on the boat.

With a large funnel that sits in the bathroom near the shower. When you think that we waste about 1.5 gallons of water EACH TIME we take a shower while waiting for the water to warm up it adds up fast.
I put that water in my "stockpile" bottles and it sits around until needed. Once its been a few months I then use that water to take care of the plants around the house or yard, then the empty bottle is refilled again. The bottles are on the bottom row of the closets and under the beds. Never seen in normal situations and there "just in case" they are needed. How would you do it without wasting any natural resources?

We have two bins outside with some basic stuff - couple of days worth. Not nearly as prepared as we should be. Don't own any guns (wife hates them). Assuming the house survives, there's a camp stove, lots of food - except my 15 year old would eat everything including his own hand if got in his way when he's hungry.
