Was just given this by a buddy--2001 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100. He bought it new, put about 12K on it, then it was damaged in a tornado--it sat for about 4 years until he gave t to me (with a clear title) about 4 weeks ago. Needs bars, and mirrors, and a front tire, and there are dents and dings on the tins, seat, and misc. other places. I spent last weekend with it, changed the oil/filter, cleaned the plugs, ran some seafoam through the tank/through the carbs, put a new battery in and she fired right up. Once I swap the bars and tire I have absolutely no idea what to do with it.

Why not ride it?

.
Just back from Costco and the little lady who packed my boxes mentioned that she came to work on her moto. I asked her about it...1300 Hayabusa. Don't they make upwards of 175 hp?
Love to see women ride.

Don, it's just not really my style of bike, and I have (3) CB750s and an Interceptor which usually take up my limited ride time.
I was thinking of doing some wild paint scheme on it, but at this time I just don't know.

OIC.
I assumed that you weren't a rider. I get it now.

Bob, Why doesn't a guy like you have a Timbersled? 19 bikes and none of them usable in the snow? I have ridden my KTM in your neck of the woods in the summer and IIRC you have lots of area that would be fantastic on the Timbersled. I have about 1 week experience on them and can tell you it is much easier than riding dirt and the difference between novice and expert is about an hour. Surely you have buddies with regular sleds.

On a side note, I hope to get out Cle Elum again this summer. Would love to say hello and hoist a brew.

Recent ride near Whistler with buddies from WA state. Guy on the right grew up in Cashmere.

Hey, the guy on the left is wearing my winter jacket.

Short answer on the snow bike? I'm too old and have too many toys now. As of a week ago, I have the newest, fastest sled, 165 HP, 460 lbs....Snow bike is about 1/3 the HP.

Also, fall over a lot as they sit tall and putting foot down in soft snow with no base....I'm too old and my body is too broken up for that. I belong to the largest snowmobile club in the state, others don't seem to want to ride with snowbikes...Looks fun I agree.

Come ride anytime; I always have a spare machine....

Looks like the guy on the right is wearing your winter pants.

When snowmobiles first became a reality, my hometown in No. Dakota gave everyone the right to run them on public streets during and after certain heavy snow falls. Fun times.
