Exactly. I guess that's how I ended up bending nails for a living. But, being a product of SoCal schools, I try to read a little every day. It's tuff.

I have to admit that a lot of the people who have doubted or cast other dispersions on execmalibu have been very slow in taking up his wager(s). The guy really appears to be putting his money where his mouth is, ya gotta give him kudos for that. I, for one, hope he can pull off this 8500 rpm run but I won't be surprised either way.... but then, I always root for the underdog.

I thought that monkey finally went away and now he's back.....

And three bumps gears 1-3 to over 8000??? Who cares, that's not what he claimed that started this.

And as far as the fancy cars and fancy ocean view..... wanna bet we never see the monkey holding up a current LA Times with him in that view or in those cars???

Wait a minute on that, I bet he's already installing Photoshop!!!!

Muhahahahaha!

Exec, that’s nice view... It’s ashamed you only own one home. There is always someone smarter, richer, better looking, etc. etc... out there. Hey, I guess that’s a nice view if you can only afford one.

I must say your internet muscles are so entertaining.

tsuter- execmalibu is actually being (somewhat) modest. I've been a guest at his home overlooking the ocean- the view and home are spectacular

hah hah- i did not mean that last picture to represent spectacular!

lighten up exec and keep having fun with us- the real guys will pony up and be there on the 15th.

Exec beat me to it, but he actually lives in Malibu. He owns the cars. He has the money. As to any suavity, well....... He doesn't much care for me as you can tell by his friendly gesture. That's OK. I expect this much from almost anyone in Malibu. Or, should I say the Kingdom of Malibu. Or, is it the "Kingdom of Modesty"??

He had some nice words for Paris Hilton. I wonder what she thinks of him? Er..... , not.

Anyway, this little deal on the 15th sounds worth the trip out there. I was going to go on the 5th to the R Gruppe thing at Streets (not to drive, it ain't ready), but I wonder if I can afford to miss the circus. Once in a month out there is enough for me. Once in 2 months is enough.

Gotta love the Pelican version of "Pinks."

execmalibu:

langstockhaar schaferhunde! Wonderful dogs, and you’re right, generally mellower. I’ve never met one I didn’t like.

Mine’s a 2002 model year, RoW. Just clocked four years last week. He’s pretty wired – a working dog. Still a sweet boy, as long as you mean well.

Best of luck.

I really don't care if execmalibu can or can't do what he claims, I just want to see some results. So put me down for $25.
If I didn't have a product launching on the 15th I'd burn some air miles just to see it.
At the end of the day though this has been an interesting thread.

So far there is $25 on the table from the lot of you..

I have repeatedly offered to put up my $13,000 2.4 "S" engine (if it were to genade)
I have offered $100 cash to prove the 8,500 RPM claims
I have offered 5-10 hours of my time to take it to Willow Springs or the dyno.

That equals about $14 ,000 on my end and the best we have on the table from all of you guys is $25!

WOW! $25 against $14,000...

Like Arnold said.. a bunch of "GIRLY MEN" Afraid to put UP but they sure wont shut up!

PWD72S

" I am a loser?"

When you can say that you started with $800 and now look out of your window and see this EVERY day you then can call me a loser ...

Until then take your $25 SHOVE IT WHERE THE SUN DONT SHINE and then shut the ***** up!

Yup, I think you're a loser...but you'll never have a clue why I think that. The $25? To help out Dan Beyers or help pay for the dyno run, I don't care which. I guess an ocean view is nice, but the same ocean hits Orygun shores as well. Last time I was in Californicate was back in '01...I didn't leave anything there I needed to go back for.

All I have to say is this;
When execmalibu came on to this thread, he had I think 12 posts max. Now he is up to 53. It would seem to me that at the begining he was new to the forum. It sounds like he is very much a porsche veteranand not new to that.

Here is my point; I have never in any car forum seen one individual get flamed as much as him.

Maybe he has said some A hole things, but with the "warm welcome" to the forum, I can't blame him

What happened to welcome to pelican, show us a picture of your car??

This thread alone would contain material enough for a whole thesis in group psychology.

Not to mention regional differences in values...thinking about it, I actually feel sorry for the guy, yeah I do.

You can feel more sorry for him when the "Big One" hits and the house and all the cars are sitting at the bottom of the Pacific.

Dunno that it needs a quake to see that....I've seen footage of big surf washing houses away in Malibu... but that's not just a California phenomenon. It's happened up here as well. People insisting on building too close to a river or the ocean. Water goes where it will.

WIDGEON13 ,PWD72S...THOSE ARE CALLED RISKS..

Yes living perched above the Pacific Ocean has EXTREME RISKS!

Some of us CRAZY people take huge risks in life and for me it has paid off... BIG TIME!

There are enormous risks like FIRES, FLOODS, EARTHQUAKES ,and even TIDLE WAVES here is Malibu. Every day I put everything I own at risk and some might argue even our lives. But I want to see the Pacific Ocean every morning when I open my eyes and to me it is worth taking the risk!

In 1993 I watched as my home BURNED to the ground along with 350 other homes..We lost everything in our home.. The Malibu Firestorms happen about every ten years...

For the record,

While my home was still on fire I made a call to my Architect and I said "My home is on FIRE start drawing "

3 days later I was the first one at the Planning Dept for a new building permit.. I moved into this house in Sept 1994 only 11 months later!

While most of the Fire Victims sat around crying and complaining. I hit the ground running even before the insurance adjuster called. I did not have the cash on hand to rebuild but I figured I would deal with that issue when it arose..

Now many of you guys like to play it safe and live in flat, safe and boring neighborhoods looking across the stree at homes just like yours but that aint me.

If my home were destroyed again the story would be the exactly same!
Start from scratch and rebuild..

Taking your 911S engine to 8,500 RPM is also a risk that you guys are afraid to try.. I can tell you from experience the 911S motors can take it..

But you will have to take a risk to find out....

PWD72S.."you feel sorry for me"?

I started with NOTHING living in and Apt with Mom and Sis..I worked hard, got lucky and now have a great life, a great woman (of 30 yrs) and 2 great kids (both in major universities).. Oh yeah and 2 great pooches..

I have a dream job... I get paid for driving fast cars.

Most people save up all year to take a 5 day vacation to Paradise..I see Paradise every day...

My two best friends since grade school (over 40 years) also started with absolutely nothing.. One of them shared a one room flat from grade school all through high school with his Dad.

He started his own business 20 years ago and now also owns (free and clear) a home in Malibu with Porsches,Ferraris, Rolls etc in his 2 Garages.

The other is a Lear Jet Pilot who collects vintage aircraft and he is building a Fly-In home with the hanger attached. ( must be something in the LA water)

I travel the world with these guys and their families and we do have alot of fun

Dont feel sorry for me..
