This thread won't be over until WE say it's over!
(Animal house rules and regulations, right? ) So, I take it Execmalibu won't be going to Willow Springs today?

exec seems like he's all about the money....If he's not going to make a buck, then why else would he drive his Porsh. One doesn't need a reason to go to Willow. It's just fun and do you really need any other reason other than that? Oh, and when one makes a claim that everybody doubts, it makes it extra special just to prove them wrong. No "Ceee note" needed. execmalibu, you missed one other person who didn't "nut up." YOU! You kept saying that it's just $100 over and over and over....Well, you were quoted $85 to dyno your car. What's the hold up execmalibu? IT'S JUST $85! |

It amazes me that anyone could say ANY of the stuff in the ebay ad, much less defend it to a group of people who HAVE a CLUE!
What a maroon! I KNEW this would be a flame out. Putz.

No, the track time would have been complete BS too. The let down is the no dyno time. THAT would end it once and for all.

wow just imagine....................30 pages of rants, raves, name dropping, stunts dreamed off, make believe stunts, unbee-wee-va-bil BULL-POO, finger pointing, accusations, denials, lies, jokes, all will follow this poor little blue targa for the REST OF ITS LIFE!
that my friends is a HORRIBLE STIGMA TO HAVE ATTACHED TO ONESELF. i vote for starting a "save the poor 'lil blue targa from a lifetime of being shunned by all the other porsches in the garage" fund. im sure this poor blue targa will need years of rehab and psychological counseling from years of mental, verbal and physical abuse from its former P.O. i can only wish that it finds a new caring tender home asap. if you have any feelings, just picture this poor blue targa, shivering in some corner of a garage, all the way in the back, blocked in by other cars, scared half to death, only wishing that some day it will have a happy home again. that my friends is a very sad and lonely life. tears are pouring onto my keyboard as i write this. please donate just a dollar, and in no time, we will have the money to afford attorneys and be able to call PPS(porsche protective services). as soon as this occurs, im sure we will be able to find new loving adoptive parents, that will adore their new bundle of joy! AS THE SUN SLOWLY SETS IN MALI-BOO! |

The Targa will be sold. Maybe even a Pelican might buy it. It's a nice car. Plus, if it can do what is claimed, the 930s better look out.
Truly, the fact is no one lost face on this one. No one "nutted up" $100, so EM justifiably didn't feel a need to show up at WSIR. So, it's a draw. Sure, there's always Dec. 13th - I think that's the next track day, and there are dynos around L.A. But if I were EM, I'd say "screw it" and move on. A choice few understand this car's potential, and while even with their knowledge, the car can still be doubted. Doubt, however, is not conclusive. Neither, for that matter, is vitriol, claim or flashing photos of tachs pegged somewhere in the vicinity of 9,000 RPMs. The only real losers in this are the Pelican members who thought, after reading 30 pages of thread, that some "explosive" outcome were to result in EM running his car to 8500 RPM in 1-3 gears. I feel for those guys. Anyone else should save their C-note for the next track day at Willow.

I'm sure that all of the 930 owners are quaking in their boots. The owner of the targa is FOS. What exactly would he have proved at Willow?? Certainly not the outrageous claim that his car will do 165 mph w/ the top off. Or on. That is just pure horse schit, no matter how many times he has gone "really fast" on public roads w/ all of the other rugged individualists who join car clubs.

I won't be losing any sleep over it, but BS is BS. The last 20 pages of this thread have sounded like you are trying to make nice w/ his mechanic, back-peddling and defending the guy, etc...
He's about a bunch of BS.
