I can't wait to hear how the local media and homers try to spin this one. One time they complained (after a loss) that Tennessee's cleats were too long.

"Honestly, we've played a lot better teams than them," Florida defensive end Jarvis Moss said. "I could name four or five teams in the SEC that could probably compete with them and play the same type of game we did against them."

Florida was amazing. They were flawless! You had a inconsistant quarterback who suddenly threw a perfect game. Even the kicker who had only kicked one field goal past 30 yards all season was able to kick two at more than 40. Honestly though, it was that Fla offensive line that made the game. Especially the corners. Congrats Florida on a superhuman game - Im going to go cry now.

Superhuman game ??
They just plain got their butts beat by a better team from a better conference. They got beat in every facet of the game. They weren't playing Iowa or Indiana anymore Dorothy. It seemed pretty simple that the OSU defense made Leak look great because they didn't presure him all night. They never touched him. Hearing on the street here that Teddy Gimp Jr. hurt himself celebrating.

From what I could see, the Gators even won the cheerleader battle.

OSU was out palyed and out coached. UF speed beat them both on O and D. And the OSU coaches couldn't or didn't make adjustments to stop it.
The game was over when that UF DE lost his helmet and got up and made the tackle. It showed UF will win and any cost. The SEC has more speed and speed wins in college ball.

OSU looked unstoppable going in. UF look barely good enough. This screams the truth about the level of competition both teams received from the competition/conference throughout the year. "Strength of Schedule" is flawed, when you're talking about the SEC, who routinely beats each other and have to play tough games week after week after week... - Skip

As a Gator fan, every week during football season you're kept on edge, as the competition in the SEC is incredible.
And yes, the SEC cheerleaders are #1!

Clearly Florida outplayed them in every facet. Just because you bear a grudge doesnt mean that you are the only person who took this away from the game My point was not to make excuses. Florida was stunning. BUt there is not one person out there who can honestly say that this season they have seen Florida EVER play that good and OSU EVER play that bad. The game last night was not a typical representation of either team. However, once again I will say Congrats Florida! (you seemed to miss that the last time.) You reference Iowa and Indiana. Are you suggesting that OSU's ranking going into this game was undeserved? If so, you are out to lunch and this is your grudge talking. Yes, the SEC is strong right now, but to suggest that OSU never played any tough games is silly. They beat two #2 ranked teams this season.....too bad they couldnt handle the other one. I love college football. While I am a huge OSU fan, I would never takes shots at the kids on other teams just because I have a problem with the local media coverage. I think every kid in college is playing his heart out and thats why I like college ball more than the Pros.

I agree, that was the best Florida played all year by a very large magin & that is the worst OSU played all season by an even larger margin. I say that not to take away anything from Florida, they are Nat. Champs and they deserve it 100%. I am just being objective as I'm no fan of either of these teams, the truth is the truth.

FWIW, I will be watching the SEC more carefully next season. I need to pick a team to root for (no, not Florida)

Go Gators!

My icon says it all. I love college football and for the second time in 10 years, I'm delighted that we're number one. OSU had a great year, but I think they underestimated UF's abilities. And we played REALLY well (even our much-maligned kicker was on his game).
The cheerleader comments made me laugh. I watched the game with 50 Gator fans at a local restaurant and we all agreed...... Ohio State's band was better than ours.

Yeah, their band is great; however, they played that song from Titanic. Very appropriate.
