I think the SEC was pretty strong top-to-bottom this year. Everybody beat up on everybody else. That's what kills SEC teams in the rankings - it's just hard to stay unbeaten all year long. Go Vols!!!! Mike

Vandy or Ole Miss would have been a pretty good match up against OSU last night.

I guess maybe OSU could have been having a bad day. Or, maybe each UF player on the field outplayed their counterpart, making it look like OSU was having a bad day. I tend to believe the latter. The UF team I saw last night looked very similar to the UF team I've seen all season. When their receivers are wide open (as they were all night), and Leak has time, they make completions/yards/touchdowns. Also, their defense has played incredible all year. Nothing new last night... Also, I believe that the #2 Texas who was beaten by OSU, was a grossly overrated #2. I feel the same about Michigan and USC. and, if I'm honest, I'd admit Auburns early high ranking was incorrect as well. Mike- You're right on... SC is going to be movin on up. I hate Spurrier. As was said earlier... I also believe there were several SEC teams that could have beaten OSU just as bad. OSU's band was awesome. - Skip

If an aluminum bat hits a ball, but no one is there to see it, does it make a sound?

LSU would of destroyed OSU. Auburn would of destroyed OSU.
SEC is just a better confrence. LSU is losing jamarcus to the draft, he is only a junior, but there are many very good backup qb's. I think the player that is leaving that we will miss the most is our defensive back Laron Landry.

This SEC bias is ridiculous. Wiconsin beat Ark. and Penn State whipped Tenn.
So, USA Today ranks Tenn. ahead of Penn State in their final poll by several spots...even though they have the same record and Penn State whipped them. Big Ten went 2-1 vs. SEC in Bowls this year. OSU played a bad game and was victim of believing their own hype. Florida deserved to win and be number 1...but get off of the SEC crap/hype, please. Other than Florida, the SEC did not come through. Talk about LSU and Auburn. They're tougher teams to beat. The only reason the Gators beat LSU this year as they played in The Swamp. I doubt we'll be so lucky next year. Tennessee wasn't that tough this season, though they're usually in the hunt. Arkansas was short-handed with respect to their playmakers when they met UW, if I remember correctly. Auburn was the one loss that the Gators suffered.
This year, the SEC was 6-3 in bowls, Big 10 was 2-5. Michigan has never played the SEC champ.

Next season...just wait 'til next season.
Damn, I'm going to hate doing so. After the superbowl, might as well unplug the tube until racing begins.

Yes, Wisconsin, ranked at #5 going into the game, beat up on a #15 Arkansas team. They sure did. Whoooohoooo! Go Big 10! Too bad Wisconsin didn't even play OSU in the regular season. It really is a shame when the two best teams in a conference like the Big 10 don't even play each other. Michigan beat up on Vanderbilt earlier this year also, but you already knew that. Yeah, those Vandy guys really hit the nail on the head when they told everyone that Michigan was tougher than Florida, didn't they Sonic? Go Big 10!

Hey Shuie, Vandy played Florida very tough and almost beat them....so what else do you want their players to say. Lets face it, Florida was a better prepared team vs. OSU... OSU seemed like they didnt prepare at all, like they were believing their hype and all of the talk. No surprise that just about every one of their good players left for the NFL the week after the game....they were all looking ahead. No way that the desparity between the 2 programs should be that great....but Florida played the game of their lives and OSU didnt care to prepare. Props to Urban Meyer. You can always take examples of "rankings" and try and make your argument (Wisc. vs. Ark)...whatever...rankings mean diddly... the fact is that the Big 10 was 2-1 vs. SEC in bowl games and you cant deny that and you cant argue against it. Better luck next year SEC.
