The average citizen doesn't know what a 910 is. The average p-car owner (ie one that does not hang out at Pelican) probably doesn't konw what a 910 is (nor would they know what a 959 or GT1 is). The average enthusiast would know or at least have a clue about all three. As for the average Ferrari owner...I don't know but you're providing valuable data. We salute you.

still consider drinking heavily...

no, not you Higgins.

dude, you made a mistake. You took some ribbing. Then you lashed back. And you keep digging the hole deeper. What do you expect?

You should have seen the ***** I got on this board when I made some questionable decisions way back when. Would have sent you crying to mom.

This is a great place. Requires a sense of humor (especially about oneself) and a thick skin. But the people here are as good as they come. Should I have a real problem, I'd have a dozen people offering to help. It's a family here...and sometimes family can be annoying and jerks. At least that's the way all my family gettogethers have been...

Wow, a no dumb question atmosphere on F-chat? Think again mister. I can't even count the number of "WHat do you do for a living threads" that pop up weekly over there.

Not being mean, welcome to the Pelican world.

If you read the entire thread, you'll may be able to see the give and take that is key to this place...to wit:

oh, right...like you need any prompting.

Relax...if you are not getting f'd with, then worry.

Now I know why I DONT subscribe to Excellence, piece of S*** magazine in my opinion. If they continue to substitute fake crap for "real" articles, they wont have much credibility much longer.

Road and Track used to do the same thing with hilarious "road tests" like the steam locomotive that "cornered as if it were on rails" and the sports car that had a solid oak crankshaft with rosewood connecting rods. It's all in good fun. At one time or another, every one of us has been "fooled".

Does anyone recall the 0-60 time for the San Francisco cable car as tested in Road & Track?

I think that they might have been fibbing, since I don't believe the cable cars actually reach 60 mph. I find this sort of misrepresentation very annoying.
