Are we attacking Iran on 4/6?

Some folks seem to think so:

Operation Bite: April 6 sneak attack by US forces against Iran planned, Russian military sources warn

Mon, 26 Mar 2007 12:37:00

By Webster G. Tarpley (http://onlinejournal.com/artman/publish/article_1888.shtml)

WASHINGTON DC, -- The long awaited US military attack on Iran is now on track for the first week of April, specifically for 4 am on April 6, the Good Friday opening of Easter weekend, writes the well-known Russian journalist Andrei Uglanov in the Moscow weekly “Argumenty Nedeli.” Uglanov cites Russian military experts close to the Russian General Staff for his account.

The attack is slated to last for 12 hours, according to Uglanov, from 4 am until 4 pm local time. Friday is the sabbath in Iran. In the course of the attack, code named Operation Bite, about 20 targets are marked for bombing; the list includes uranium enrichment facilities, research centers, and laboratories.

Naw. We wouldn't be stupid enough to just haul off and attack a middle eastern country just because of their dictator and his sabre-rettling.

Oh, wait a minute........

I'd suggest moving it up to the 5th, the 6th isn't a secret anymore.

I don't see the US starting a war on Easter Weekend. That wouldn't be proper. Now only if the Iranians would just kidnap some westerners in an act of war....oh yea...

So maybe we will just finish the war on Easter....

+1 for moving it back a day. That way it won't conflict with my viewing of the Malaysia GP. I don't want to miss practice or qualifying because all the stations are showing them grainy green-on-black pictures and hyping WW3.

I wrote and sent a book chapter to a professor in Iran. He better hurry his ass reviewing it and send it back to the editor in Germany before his lab gets destroyed
Other than that, I hope it is just an April fools joke.

You know..the current administration is just incompetent enough to have let something like this leak. Do it on the 8th when everyone says'nah they ain't comin' and everyone has gone home.

It'd be nice to have a president/administration that would have enough balls to tell the Israelis "you got a problem with 'em, you go attack 'em and stop trying to coerce us into fighting your battles for you".

+1 Isn't that what the Mossad is for? You'd think with all the satellite systems, surveillance and peope shooting off their mouths about Iranian nukes, the Israelis should know right where to covertly drop a few bombs.

They could even make it look like an accident. And if they got their hands dirty so what? It's not like anyone's going to hate on them any more than they already do. What's the worse that could happen - a UN security council resolution?

Why is it always the US, the UK and the Aussies doing all the heavy lifting?

I suspect the Israelis are itching to clobber Iran. But I'm guessing that Dubya is telling them that he'd appreciate it if they'd step down so HE can launch the attack.

because they were the ones crazy enough to start the war and support the war in the first place.

your really blame other nations for not getting involved? It's not worth it. it's a big mess that should never have happened.

The odds of this April Fool being true are about the same as the tale of a Porsche dealer trying a buy one, get one free 911 sale.

I presume you know that a Porsche dealer did exactly that.

I read it on the Internets. It has to be true.
