I've had a Capresso-Jura S9 at home for three years and more than 3,000 shots of espresso. Flawless performance. I've never had it in for repair/service. I use Illy beans. They make great coffee and are not as oily as other espresso beans and they won't clog the grinder or foul the brewgroup.

I have a cafe Americano every morning. Espresso/cappucino on weekends. Latte for my wife.

What a great machine they make.

The E8 is plastic and it doesn't have an adjustable tempreture control for the water. But all else underneath is the same. Great machine. And for $599, it's even better.

NICE machines.

I have a buddy with a La Marzocco commerical machine in his house. Its sweet.

Be carefull Moses, while you are out, all the neighborhood kids will be crashing your pad, grinding your beans and getting strung out.. Lock up the Illy. Leave only decaf around.http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat3.gif

Where are you finding an E8 for $599?

The soon to be wife and I are doing the wedding registry bit, and she knows I'm a coffee guy (although I normally french press). Believe it or not, I don't own a coffee maker. Any recommendations for great one in the "Someone might actually buy this off the registry" range? :D

If you google Jura E8, you'll find a lot of places selling it for the same price.

That is a screaming deal. Can't miss with that machine. It has the same grinder, brewgroup and thermoblock heater as the $2,400 model!

I just take a spoonful of instant, wash it down with a Pepsi - does the trick.

I bought one last month for the office. My wife and I fell in love with it while we were testing it before I took it into the office. We finally broke down and bought one for ourselves.

Part of me says... $600 for a Coffee maker?!?

The other part says....mmmmmmmmmmm
