Proof positive that women are attracted to confidence and wealth and not much else.
I will bet you this, he would give me all his wealth to be my age again! he can get as much random arse from silicone hotties around the clock but he is still wrinkled and old and may be dead in 10 to 15 years from now.

Not sure he has any illness, seems to be in decent shape for a guy his age. Ya, I give him 10 years but his hard-on will last 15 at the minimum!

I agree with the positive sentiments regarding Mr. Hefner. However, I am somewhat surprised by your other half´s reactions. I can not remember any female acquaintances that did not feel threatened by her man looking even casually in a magazine like that.
Hmm...so much for the myth of the Swedish woman..

Does he happen to drive a Porsche too ?
Talk about both living the dream and the legend.

I believe he is one of our great post-war cultural visionaries. A business (and business model) that no one then would even have considered risking or undertakiing. Many copy-cats since.
He was waaaay ahead of his time. Now though the paper/print media is losing ground and has been since @1999. Not sure if his other holdings are doing 'well'

He was a contemporary of Roy Kroc. Both WWII vets from Chicago and purveyors of things that are pretty tasty. Pure Americana. I may don my smoking jacket, puff a pipe over the weekend and think deeper on this subject.

It's interesting you say that because ........................................back in 2000 I was working in the IT side of things and dating a woman from UU-Net (which had just been bought out by MCI-World-Com)
They ( the company) had BIG parties and for that Xmas had rented out the entire DC train-station/complex. She drove us there in her BMW and we were dressed to the nines. As we strolled in there 7 ice scuptures overflowing with the bubbly, 4 different halls each with it's own style / genre of live music, black-tuxed waiters everywhere, etc, etc. I stood there for a moment.................... and really honest-to-God felt like one of those Hip guys that are portrayed in the opening layout in Playboy !! Very cool !!

My favorite is Julie Michelle McCullough, Feb 1986.
She was my favorite before I saw her in person when she showed up at the frat house at UT unexpectedly. I guess she was going to all the frat houses to sign autographs. We were having a rush party that night and we already had some female entertainers in the house. They flipped when they heard another woman was in the house and they almost left.

"Playboy" has been in a very slow, but steady decline in circulation, as have most "old school" magazines. Currently, "Playboy" ranks #17 in the U.S. - just below "Newsweek" and just above "Cosmopolitan."
"Playboy" puts out about 3-million magazines each month (paid subs & verified circulation). By comparison, "AARP Magazine" does over 23-million copies monthly to rank #1. I think, while Heffner was once a cultural visionary, he's now considered an anachronism. I mean, come on, what decade does he think he's living in? Hugh's publishing "empire" is headed for extinction; he is too, but, he's had a hell of a life for a dinosaur. |
