So I turn on the TV for a Paris update, and what do you know, another L.A. phenomenon has taken over the broadcast - that is the high-speed pursuit.

One station has so far devoted a whole hour to a Dodge pickup running away from L.A.P.D. cruisers.

Sheez!

Ooo, I'm without T.V. Any spike strips thrown yet? What are the odds in Vegas right now? Fast or slow chase????

Spike strips thrown down. Driver (in a Dodge Ram 4x4 crew cab - i.e. white trash bling) handily drove around. As is, the A/T tires seem impervious to the spike strip :rolleyes:

Pit maneuver ill advised - truck is larger than typical LAPD Crown Vic - The Ram's rear bumper aligns with the Crown Vic's windshield.

Ram made a complete stop. Cops came out, drew guns, driver drove off.

The pursuit is 2 hrs. long, started in Tujunga and is now in mid-city/Culver City.

This just in from tmz.com. The pickup is being driven by Paris Hilton. :p
