[QUOTE=tabs;3515629]Motion isn't a fake, he just seems to get bitten by the glitter.
QUOTE] Hey! I want to get bitten by the glitter. Send her my way when you're done motion! ;) Tabs, I think you missed his point in the other thread. I would think a gentleman of your advanced years would agree - we Americans as a whole, are a bunch of slobs. It's embarrassing. Whatever happened to manners, style, and decorum? I applaud anyone pointing out how that has been replaced by sloven and gluttony. I know this may not be what someone self named "the master buffetierre" wants to hear, but..... Even the churches have let this slide. I see folks heading off to church on Sunday wearing their best jeans/shorts and T-shirts. BTW-you said "Motion you just kind of rub me the wrong way" That would lead most to believe you don't like him. I can't imagine saying that to anyone I have any respect or affection for. |
OHHH Yes...you found me out I confesss I have "no respect" or have any "affection" for Motion. In other words think what you want, but that isn't the truth of the matter.

Suffice to say that there is a reason why I spend a lot of my free time in Europe (am going to Berlin and Moscow shortly) and it mostly has to do with friends and cute young ladies! :) |

"So what makes any of U think I don't like Motion or am attacking him?????" You asked the question. I simply answered. To be honest, I don't give a damn either way. But-fwiw-now I think you're in love with the man. |

You don't give a dam about Motion, a fellow human being...how heartless can you be? |
My wife and I have been discussing this to an extent over the last day or two following the America is fat thread.
When we met, She liked to dress up, like Kayla, even to go to the grocery store. To back up a moment, my cousin, who got me into P-cars is VERY wealthy and maybe a member on here lurking, I can remember going to his million dollar home, with all his toys in the drive and he would be dressed in ripped up favorite jeans an old comfy t-shirt and some old sperry topsiders. This was his look, he could afford Armani or Versace but chose an old t-shirt and some old Levi's instead. He did not care he had money and did not feel a need to show off. He was just as happy grabbing some Burger King than heading to the 5 star place in Boca where he lived. I feel the same way, I once read an interview with an actor, Freddie Prinze Jr., he stated in the interview, when asked his favorite designer clothes, that he preferred a plain white t-shirt and a pair of plain blue jeans, he was instantly my hero and honestly, I felt he was ripping off my look. I could care less about what designer I am wearing, I will never be a slave to that joke. I do wear appropriate clothing for whatever situation I am in.. i.e. if I am heading off to a 5 star restaurant I wear a nice suite, maybe a tie, heading to my favorite greasy spoon for breakfast on the weekend, in Florida? Baggies, Flip Flops, and a tank top. Bumming around on the weekend, running to a store for this or that, Jeans and a T-shirt. I have nice clothes, I have a really nice Brooks Brothers Suite with an extra pair of slacks in my closet, I have $100 pairs of dress slacks this I love to wear from Express Men that are so cool, they low cut more like jeans than dress slacks that you wear around your navel. I wear them when the situation dictates, running errands does not dictate getting all gussied up. To be honest, when I saw Motions pictures from Montana I had to giggle at the pics I Kayla digging up a tree with the fancy clothing on. I am sure you are getting "comical" looks from the locals. Your out of place up there in the country with your Orange County fashion. Its no place for it. Especially out in the woods digging up plants. My wife likes to dress nice always, she drives me nuts with it, especially when we were newly weds. As the years have passed she is now a blue jeans and t-shirt kind of gal. (BTW- Huge Thanks to Jeremy for the BHT shirt for Renee, she looks really cute in it with a pair of jeans) It took me a while but she finally has relaxed. If we are heading to West Palm Beach to shop and know we will be heading out to dinner afterwards, yes we dress nicer than if we were running to our local store to pick up something. Is it a lack of style? I do not know, Renee made a good point over dinner this evening, Europeans seem to be color blind. They wear some really wacky colors together that just look wrong. So who has the better fashion sense? I know my Blue Jeans and White T match. ;) |
Laguna Beach.....The Boom Boom Room and the Little Shrimp. Those were the gay hot spots. A couple of my best customers when I was selling high end wine and spirits......

Hey, tabby, you've been outa here for awhile. Did you hear the expression "the Orange curtain'? Apropos. But, here's an interesting exercise: one Saturday go to the car meet previously known as Crystal Cove, now held in the Ford design center parking lot in Irvine. Next week go to Donut Derelicts in Huntington Beach. Night and day. All in OC. In fact, a lot of OC is rather down to earth. You just don't hear a lot about places like Fountain Vally. ;) Now, what motion is up to, I don't know. |

How do you like the new KLR's? I'm thinking about one myself.
As for advertising, ride reports and vendor forum on advrider should swing some business your way. |
